Hotel Living by Armóniko — Hotel in Medellín

If I could give this hotel infinity stars, I absolutely would! Just for a bit of perspective, I have been traveling to Colombia since I was a baby, and have stayed with mostly family but still have stayed in hotels in Colombia and also in the US. This hotel is very, very unique and special. My husband (first time out of the US), was very impressed and happy with this hotel, and he is very picky when it comes to hotels. Since before I stepped foot in Hotel Living, Sarai and Robert were so helpful, patient, and flexible with an issue I had with my reservation as my plans changed and I needed to spend more time in the hotel. Everything was set before I arrived. It was my husband and I's 1 year anniversary trip, so I surprised him with an order of balloons and rose petals, and the hotel did a wonderful job with this! It was so so cute! Beanlly Herrera was our point person throughout our stay in the hotel. She went above and beyond in her service, always responded in a timely manner to my million Whatsapp messages. Whenever we came back from our daily adventures, she would check in to see how our day was, what we did. She embodied the Colombian hospitality. Cleanliness was over the top. Our room was also clean and immaculate with room service, we got extra towels when we needed it. The bed was super comfy, we had a large tv, a beverage fridge, stove, sink, all the essentials but super modern. We had a lot of storage to fit our belongings, cabinets, closets, the spacing was perfect. The showers were also nice and hot as well! The wi-fi also always worked well for us! The technology in this place is also top-notch that I haven't witnessed in any American hotel. The parking lot is self-parking which is so cool to witness. The elevator comes with special codes to the rooms, along with the rooms having their own codes as well. In terms of safety, we felt very safe the entire time. There is a guard that stands outside, and he was helpful with us, helping us with our luggage, and letting us know whenever we had company. The neighborhood itself is great, has many yummy restaurants nearby, you can just walk to them. The air conditioning in the room was perfect! We slept like babies every night. One of my favorite things about this hotel was the view we had. We had the city view, and I would wake up every morning early to watch the beautiful sunrise which never disappointed me. I would sit on the swing and just listen to the beautiful nature right outside the concrete jungle. Right outside our balcony, there was the view of the park which had very large trees which attracts many birds. I heard and saw hummingbirds, parrots, eagles, owls, and many other cool native birds. Our breakfast was always a highlight of our day- Botswana! Gerald was such a kind and friendly person, she always greeted us with a smile and would check in on us. Jesus was also very friendly and kind as well. We loved being able to order our breakfast ahead of time to get our busy day started. I'm being completely honest in saying that I haven't had a better hotel breakfast at any other place but this hotel. We had acai bowls, french toast, scrambled eggs, arepa waffles, and many others. It was top notch and included in our stay. It beats the typical "buffet continental breakfast" I'm used to even in fine American hotels. My parents and other family members ended up joining us for breakfast and they ended up staying a night at this hotel and loved it so much! I loved loved loved that this hotel was super modern, but added a bit of Colombian flair to the room, with the small frame paintings on the nightstands. I see you, Living by Armoniko! During my recent visit to Medellin, Colombia, I had the pleasure of staying at Living by Armoniko, and it was an experience worth sharing. Right from the onset, the security measures in place instilled a sense of safety and assurance. Accessing the property was seamless, yet thoroughly secure, setting a comforting tone for the stay.

Although I didn't get a chance to dine at the three restaurant options available within Living by Armoniko, their presence added to the allure of the place. It’s definitely something I look forward to trying on my next visit.

Another noteworthy feature was the WiFi connectivity, which was exceptionally good. Reliable and fast internet is crucial, whether you're traveling for business or leisure, and Living by Armoniko excelled in this regard.

I stayed at this property during my first visit to Medellin and I was impressed. There are mostly positive things to say about this hotel and a few suggestions to make it even better. So, the good: location is fantastic if you want to be near food options in Laureles, some shopping as well, great coffee shops, super walkable and safe. Rooms are on the small side BUT very well maintained with an organic feel and comfortable bed. There’s a kitchenette, a coffee maker, mini bar with drinks for purchase and I booked a room with a balcony which was great. The bathroom has a hairdryer, magnifying mirror which I appreciate very much and nice towels. Front desk is consistently excellent, including security staff. The property has 2 restaurants and a cervecería as well which is very convenient. Breakfast is included in the price. What could improve?: Please offer decaf coffee in the restaurant AND the rooms. Being in Colombia and not having the option of a good cup of coffee for people like me that can’t have caffeine is a bummer. I would also suggest some “fit” breakfast options. I had the cheese arepa with poached eggs everyday (minus the chorizo as I’m a pescatarian) and it was very tasty. The ginger infusion was also very nice. Service during breakfast was always fantastic. Another thing that would make a difference would be some complimentary water in the rooms at least to get guests started with their stay and non alcoholic beers in their restaurant for those of us that don’t drink but still enjoy an evening beverage with friends. Even with all the suggestions I recommend this property 100% and when I return to beautiful Medellin I’ll stay at Living by Armoniko again. Thanks to all the staff for making my stay...
