Olivia Pizzeria - Laureles — Restaurant in Medellín

Oh dear... I’ve never left a bad review before, but the service here was so terrible, I had to. I work in the restaurant industry and I’m ashamed to call these guys colleagues.

I had to give 2 stars as the food was actually good. But the rude, slow and awkward service left a really bad taste. Eye-rolling, sighing, tutting and blatantly ignoring us. We saw several tables trying to get the attention of the team, but they were too busy texting, dancing, eating off dirty plates and staring into space. While all the servers looked like adults, they behaved like stroppy teenagers.

Warning, there will be extra charges on the bill such as ‘added Parmesan’ on the pizza, which wasn’t even offered, it just came that way.

Kudos to the kitchen team who clearly keep this place afloat, while the front of house team seem to do their best to drive it into the ground.

I don't normally leave bad reviews unless it is REALLY bad. Food was delicious, drinks tasty, atmosphere nice, but service was beyond AWFUL. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive (by a different person than who took our original order) then waited 30 more minutes before we were able to order an appetizer (again a different waitress). Our waitress was never to be found exceot to take our drink order snd pay the bill. When we asked for the check, it took FOREVER to get the bill (10 to 15 minutes) and I had to wait another 15 minutes to track someone down for the change that was owed to us. I normally tip 25%, tonight I was hesitant paying the 10% they include. I will never be back based on service alone. Absolutely pathetic. I have lived in South America now for over a year, so I understand service is different here. But tonight's was unacceptable. If you visit, be prepared to wait for HOURS...

This restaurant is doing very well the food is good as soon as you come in the waitress takes your order I ordered a meal with garlic bread and a pecan pie slice shortly after I got my pasta plate the waitress forgot my garlic bread so once I finish my pasta I had to wait for the garlic bread and then waited for my pecan slice their was about five waitresses and a manager standing right in front of the counter I'm making eye contact nothing is happening so I waved over manager I asked for my pecan slice and my bill. waited 10 minutes no pecan slice approached the waitress paid my bill left without my pecan slice it's not about money but tip included in the bill. when the service is so terrible you have to be patient with them. I am not laying the responsibility on the waitresses they're probably overworked and underpayed it's the owners that are...
