Coraje Vegana in Medellin is undoubtedly my favorite restaurant in the city, and for good reason. As a dedicated vegan for the past seven years, I've had the pleasure of exploring various plant-based eateries, but none have left as lasting an impression as Coraje Vegana.
From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The menu offered an array of tantalizing options, but after much deliberation, I opted for the El Chori, the pizza, and the El Salvage – and I'm so glad I did.
Each dish was a masterpiece in its own right, bursting with flavor and creativity. The El Chori was a delightful blend of textures and spices, while the pizza boasted a crispy crust and an abundance of fresh toppings that danced on my palate. And the El Salvage? It was a culinary revelation, showcasing the innovative approach to vegan cuisine that Coraje Vegana is known for.
Beyond the incredible food, the service was exceptional. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about veganism, making my dining experience all the more enjoyable.
In conclusion, if you're in Medellin and looking for a dining experience that celebrates the art of vegan cooking, look no further than Coraje Vegana. With its delectable dishes, welcoming ambiance, and top-notch service, it's a restaurant that has earned its place as my favorite spot in the city.

Read moreUnexpectedly good. I hadn't expected much from Coraje; I just wanted a solid "meh" lunch. But it turned out to be really good. I ordered El Chori, which was like a distant cousin of a hot dog. The sausage, toppings, and sauces were delicious. It was flavorful, moist, and had many textures. It came with a salad that was also amazing—not your boring lettuce, cucumbers, and plastic tomatoes. It had kale, radish, seeds, and a tasty dressing. My husband ordered a mushroom sandwich with potatoes on the side, and he was very happy with it. Everything was cooked well; the potatoes weren’t sad and mushy but crunchy and flavorful. I loved the passionfruit kombucha they sell. I also had a marble cake for takeout. I just finished it, and it didn't disappoint—moist and rich in flavor. The cooks and servers are four young women, super nice and friendly. Will definitely come again.
Update: I did come again and again. My favorite dish is arepitas, but I loved every dish I tried. The menu of the day is also fine, but not as special as their regular menu. It is very...
Read moreI don't review every place I visit as most are average. However, this place stood out for a few reasons.
Firstly, there's a menu here to which the staff stick. In my experience as a visitor to the city, some places will avoid giving you a menu so they can decide what to charge you if you don't ask the price upfront. Everyone is treated fairly here.
The staff are also pleasant here and largely tolerate my poor Spanish and don't reply in English.
Most important is their amazing salad. Their pizzas are nice, but the salad blew me away. It tasted amazing and was good value, too.
