Pizzeria Olivia Manila — Restaurant in Medellín

We ordered a takeaway pizza the night before and it was so delicious we decided to come back to eat in last night. I was with my partner and elderly mother-in-law. There were no tables available except at a tall bar so the staff offered us to sit there and move as soon as a table became available, as the bar was very uncomfortable for my mother-in-law. As we were ordering, we saw that the people behind us in the queue for a table were seated before us. When we reminded our waitress that we had arrived first, she told us they were to be seated first as they were a group of 4 customers and we were only 3. She showed no concern for my mother-in-law or the fact that we were first in line, only in giving priority to a larger group. I politely said that we were very dissatisfied with this kind of service and said that if we didn't get a table we would have to cancel our orders and leave, to which she replied 'go if you want to'! So we left, but it's a shame because the food is excellent quality, but the owner of this business should be aware that their staff are doing them a disservice.

Pedimos una pizza para llevar la noche anterior y estaba tan deliciosa que decidimos volver a comer anoche. Estaba con mi pareja y mi suegra. No había mesas disponibles, excepto en un bar alto, por lo que el personal nos ofreció sentarnos allí y movernos tan pronto como hubiera una mesa disponible, ya que el bar era muy incómodo para mi suegra. Cuando estábamos ordenando, vimos que las personas detrás de nosotros en la cola para una mesa estaban sentadas antes de nosotros. Cuando le recordamos a nuestra mesera que habíamos llegado primero, ella nos dijo que ellos debían estar sentados primero, ya que eran un grupo de 4 clientes y solo éramos 3. No mostró preocupación por mi suegra o el hecho de que nosotros fueron los primeros en la fila, solo en dar prioridad a un grupo más grande. Dije cortésmente que estábamos muy insatisfechos con este tipo de servicio y dije que si no obteníamos una mesa tendríamos que cancelar nuestros pedidos e irnos, ¡a lo que ella respondió 'vaya si quiere'! Entonces nos fuimos, pero Es una pena porque la comida es de excelente calidad, pero el dueño de este negocio debe ser consciente de que su personal les está...

We waited 1.5h for our food, even if the restaurant was not even half full. We ordered 2 pasta dishes, but only received one portion. They still billed us for 2, as they claimed they put 2 portions in one bowl. Basically made us pay 80.000cop (20€) for half a bowl of pasta. They did not budge on this and insisted on payment. After we asked them to please take out the automatically included tip, they presented a new bill for the exact same amount as before. They just added random taxes until the price was the same.

This restaurant has not only horrible service and rude staff, they will scam you if you‘re a foreigner. Avoid...

The menu was so intriguing at first. The menu has tons of great options . My friends and I proceeded with our order letting the waitress know of all our food allergies. My friend and I have a major nut allergy and can not consume any nuts. After our order is placed the waitress comes back and lets us know that the Alfredo sauce and bechamel sauce contains nuts. None of this was mentioned on the menu. Ordering was extremely difficult. Then our one friend without a nut allergy ordered the chicken cutlet. The cutlet was undercooked and flavorless.
