Street food Los Perrines del Poblado — Restaurant in Medellín

For many this is the perro to beat in town, they’re big and mean and in a good location.

These guys crank it up to 11 in terms of sizes and toppings, offering lots of combinations with the classic Medellin “more is more” food ethos, they add bacon to your bacon, sauces to your sauces and sausages to your sausages.

I wouldn’t try some of their more extravagant options like perra plus burger or chuzo meat with extra everything as im more of a purist and want my heart to beat for a long time, but the lines speak for themselves.

My choice here would be a perro especial, the regular one with cheese and bacon, everything else is just more of the same but makes it harder to eat, I’d rather eat 2 if I was really hungry!

Service is not great but it’s ok, they’re too busy and successful to be paisa level friendly I guess? They are fast though, even if there’s a line which is most of the time.

The cheese and salad provide texture but are kinda lost and hard to taste under it all. Bacon is good and plenty and my choice of “american” sausage proved to be tasty but made it harder to eat.

There are enough places to seat and eat your perro, just be careful not to step on the unavoidable parts of perros that other patrons left...
