Good morning. Let me start by saying my wife and I have been enjoying our visits to the cafe for a number of years. 1st as tourists now as year round residents. We live up in the mtns.and we typically enjoy driving down to the coast for a rest day. A little something special. Start with a nice coffee. Sometimes breakfast sometimes lunch. A nice walk on the beach. You get the idea😎. We’ve noticed a change in quality of the food over the last year but especially the coffee drinks. We use your beans at home but really enjoy a cappuccino at Mono until recently. Two x in a row the drinks have been really poor. Absolutely nothing to do with the pictures on the web site nor our previous experiences. Whoever is on the machine really needs some training. The breakfast quesadilla… the carrot cake … the coffee… the lemonade with peppermint … but that’s not all … the service is beyond … I say this because last Monday September 3rd I was there for late lunch and I had my little money bag with several thousand dollars (we are building a house that’s the only reason i carried a large amount of money with me) and while eating I set it up on my chair … finished eating and for distracting texting our contractor and walked away … drove a couple miles down the road and all of the sudden it hit me that I left my money in an open public place …. Drove like crazy and got back to the restaurant just to find out that the waiter was saving it and he even ran after me trying to find me but I left too quickly … I will always go back to mono congo as long as is open … thank you to the staff for...

While bumming around in Dominical for a few days this was a daily stop for my girlfriend and I in order to get some work. We really appreciated this place while trying to get our lives together while somewhat stuck in Costa Rica. We saw many of the same faces each day, I suppose making us regulars for a brief stint.
If you want to snag a spot by the outlets, come mid morning or mid afternoon. Avoid the morning and lunch rush.
I only give 4 stars instead of 5 due to the very finicky wifi.
When I look back on my time spent in Costa Rica, Dominical and Mono Congo are...
