Terrible experience at this place. I asked twice if a particular order was grilled and it arrived clearly pan fried in oil. I was assured that I didn’t have to pay for that particular part of our order. Only after he charged my card did I have to ask him twice for the detailed receipt copy and he did over charge me for the meal. When I contested he said it was on the grill then they proceeded to say they don’t speak English to deal with the situation and made the guy who did hide away.
This is my second time visiting this place because I thought I’d give it a chance again. The first time I asked for a side of Natilla which they charged me 1,000 colones for- almost half the price of the breakfast for about 5 tablespoons worth of Natilla.
Also I highly recommend you take a closer look at your receipt. My issue above aside, they have listed prices on their menu but find ways to make it appear lower on the receipt but then tack on way more service charges that you end up overpaying. Cheeky business practices, no wonder every time I walk by this place it’s...
Read moreThis place has everything you want for a beach lunch! It’s located right by the beach and has plenty of open air seating. The drinks are great, the food is delicious, and the service is prompt and friendly. Enjoyed two lunches while staying in Dominical and both were great. The piña coladas are perfect, especially with an extra shot of rum! All the food was really good - the quesadilla, loaded nachos, fried shrimp, grilled mahi mahi, lobster, the fries, all were very good! Our server was no nonsense but friendly and would laugh with us and offer suggestions. We were lucky enough to check out a sloth that has been hanging in their tree for a few days, which attracted passer-bys for a few photos and hopes that it would move. Even better, on our second visit it did! Definitely worth a stop for some good food and drinks while...
Read moreIt's in great spot to watch the sunset and have drinks and dinner. The problem is that there is no selection of wine, and the food is mediocre at best. I had a chicken quasedia that was mushy. They put chicken and refried beans in a tortilla, and it was too soft, having to eat it with a fork and knife. I like mine crispy on the outside. I asked for guacamole and salsa, and they brought that, and it helped. No cheese. No lettuce. I got charged for both sides, and it was still not great. I took what was left home and tried to crisp it up in the oven... it helped. Not recommending dinner...
