Boca Boca offers authentic Venezuelan food cooked by a Venezuelan owner and her passionate staff. This restaurant is located in Quepos, near Parque Nahomi and the local farmers’ market. So the location is very convenient!
The establishment is pretty dark and had no music playing, which could easily be fixed with some subtle additions. However, the staff were very friendly and prompt with service. The food itself was absolutely delicious and everything on the menu looked tasty! We ordered two Cachapa con queso y carne machada which was a pancake-like exterior made of corn and was stuffed with dry cheese and topped with shredded carne + avocado slices. This was by far the group’s favorite as it had a sweet taste with a cheesy pull and not super oily meat.
We also ordered a chicken Casado which was also really enjoyable. Another ordered the Arepa reina pepiada which they liked. Finally, we ordered the nachos and they were our least favorite dish. It was just salsa with tomato chunks, beans, and nacho cheese.
In total, our food + 4 cokes turned out to be $65 which was a fair price with all things considered. Everything was delicious and clean, even the restrooms! I’d highly recommend you try this place out—especially...

Read moreThank you Jesus for the excellent service! You made us feel so welcomed! This was our first dinner in Costa Rica and it was a great experience. Jesus was so friendly. We ordered a couple of non alcoholic drinks: lemonade ginger and a mora berry drink. Both very refreshing. Though the mora berry drink does have a lot of seeds in it. To share we ordered 3 arepas. Jesus told us the owner is Venezuelan so the food was authentic as it can get. It was so delicious and filling. Though eat fast or the juices from the meats will get soaked making the arepas soggy. Total was just $24 for...
