Restaurante La Costa — Restaurant in Quepos

We arrived in Quepos from SJO and were super hungry, I really wanted seafood, I searched on google for seafood places and the one closest to the bus depot was La Costa, we went looking for it and it was kinda hard to find, no signs on the outside, but the service was so good, the ceviche mixto was fresh, really yummy. My husband ordered the arroz con mariscos, lots of seafood in it (definitely a lot more than you would get ordering a seafood dish back home in Canada) I ordered the pescado a la plancha, the portion was on the smaller side but it was so tasty, came with fries, salad and the most delicious pineapple salsa. Girl!! Do yourself a favour and try this salsa with the fish ❤️! The lady who seemed to be the owner, was super friendly and even helped us to get a taxi to our hotel. It's a restaurant at the street, that you probably wouldn't think of eating at. But the food is great. It feels like grandma's cooked food. It takes a while but it is worth of waiting. Everything is freshly cooked and very tasty. We had seafood soup, it was strong delicious broth with lot of stuff in it - crabs, shrimps, muscles and calamari. I love it when the owner is the chef. You know, you are going to get their best effort every time. They did everything they could to accommodate my unreasonable food request. An excellent meal with service to match. Very fair prices. Skip the overpriced restaurants near the park. Come in to town. You will get a much higher quality food at a much better price.
