Marina Pez Vela — Attraction in Puntarenas Province

It was a pleasant surprise when we drove to the Marina. We were going on a short morning on the Ocean King boat to see whales. The Marina was clean, organized, and docks for boats of all sizes, docks for skidoos. All docks had electric connections. The Marina building was well designed to have the view of the sea and the Marina. It had shops and restaurants, boating and other water adventure sport offices and even long cement steps for sesting opposite a large raised stage. Wait till construction is done on the hotel before you come IMHO, they like to start early like 6am and go all day. Sunday and Saturday included. With the jackhammering and concrete work, it wasnt a restful stay. Our room was adjacent directly to the construction so the noise was excessive, the whole bed was vibrating with jackhammer sounds. We were mainly told the pool was out of order when we booked, nothing about this level of construction.

I visited this marina Dec 30 th to check out as I have been marina several times in the past. This is a gorgeous facilty and close to great fishing. I gave three stars because we parked at the facilty and literally saw two security guards watching us park and walking in the parking garage to the shops. Returned an hour later damage to the drivers door and a backpack stolen and a pair of sunglasses, Our fault completely for leaving anything in the car, but security watching us and a place that has invested in that much security , gates, fencing it was...
