There is no Uber Eats delivery, but Colina's delivers directly. Manuel Antonio really isn't walkable, especially in heavy rain. So Colina's was a Godsend. We ordered three of our four nights, but actually, on the third night, we over-ordered so we would have enough for the fourth night.
The service was excellent. Food arrived fast and hot, well packaged. But the edge of one pizza was folded over to fit the box like another reviewer said. We were also only 500 meters away. On the third night, we ordered a whole loaf of the great rustic bread we had been receiving with our past orders. We asked for butter. Bart, their excellent deliveryman, texted to say they didn't have any, but could stop at the store and buy us a stick for a small charge. That's above and beyond service.
The food was obviously delicious. It was somewhat uneven, but still delicious. All of the pasta is linguini, but it's homemade. I ordered the carbonara pasta with a white sauce. I ordered a second time with chicken added, and it was a different sauce altogether, actually better. Two chefs? My nephew ordered a pesto linguini with chicken; it was an unusual pesto but still good. We had a pesto pizza, and it had a more typical pesto sauce, but still different.
The pizzas you might love or hate depending on how you feel about the crust. Definitely wood fired oven, and thin. Not crispy. We liked it enough to try one all three nights. Many varieties, all highly customizable with additional toppings, PLUS they got all our order noted correctly when we asked for no olives or no peppers.
The price and value was excellent, especially given the very high prices in Manuel Antonio (and CR overall). $2.99 delivery fee. The pizzas were actually cheaper and 100% better than some we ordered in San Jose and Jacó from large US chains. The pastas were a steal, by Quepos standards. They do have homemade ravioli pastas, and my nephew said they were two thick. So I'd stick with the linguinis. And our pastas on the third night, they came in different containers and were essentially double orders. Part of the uneven execution, or a reward for ordering three nights in a row. Hahaha.
100% recommended. Thank you. Great value in a tourist trap town, and a tourist-trap-ridden...
Read moreWhat a surprise and a delight. We pulled in because they had an actual parking lot and we had luggage in our car and wanted to avoid street parking. So glad we did! Absolutely delicious pizza, like Naples Italy level, not cracker thin like so many pizzas we've had in Costa Rica but still thin and wood fired. My BF had the chicken parmesan and it was equally excellent, thick and juicy with perfect sauce. Sangria was tasty, and the "best" (non food) part is Facebook was down all day which is how we were in touch with our friend we were staying with so we had no way to get her address...but the owners knew her and were able to assist us getting to our final destination! Serendipity, can't beat that. Glad the pizza was so huge or I would have ordered a second to go, I'll be eating...
Read moreFood was great and at a good price! Nice service and relaxing. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because at the end of dinner when me and my wife and daughter wanted to relax after a great meal and enjoy the atmosphere the old ex-pat that came to do “Trivia Night” along with his buddies started smoking cigars a few tables away from us. Totally killed the atmosphere!! Cigars stink so much and nobody should have to second hand smoke those things! Too bad people are not sensitive to others around them. Go eat here though - you will...
