Absolutely fabulous sunset views. Good idea to make a reservation if you want to see them - around 5:30 every evening. White wine sangria was excellent, not sweet at all. Jalapeno margarita was well made, nice dollop of muddled jalapeno on the bottom. We shared the watermelon gazpacho, which has tomato in it, plus the normal ingredients, in a nice watermelon base. I had the "Ronnys Place super chicken brochette" (about $17 US), skewered bacon wrapped grilled chicken with peppers and onions and a "tasty sauce made with tropical fruits". Tough to go wrong with this, but they up the game with a hanging skewer device on a wood cutting board that is unique and draws comments from the crowd who, like me, had never seen one. Served with really well prepared mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes, which were very different - orange, but not sweet, very creamy. I was expecting normal mashies, and these were a very nice surprise. The tropical fruit sauce was sweet and chunky, a nice complement the the bacon wrapped chicken chunks. When we reviewed the menu before choosing Ronny's, my dinner companion wanted the BBQ pork ribs (about $21 US). When we got there she exercised her woman's prerogative and ordered the grouper ("Filet with cream shrimp and calamary (sic) sauce"). Our waiter informed us that "tonight's grouper is mahi mahi", which seemed odd, but since she had mahi mahi the previous evening went back to her original choice, the BBQ pork ribs. They were fall off the bone good with a sweet sauce, also served with mixed vegetables and the same mashed potatoes. She inquired about substitution of French fries, but there was an up charge and opted for the menu item and was very, very pleased. We split a vanilla espresso ice cream, which was very unusual and good. Served in a short stemmed martini glass, it came as a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Our waiter then poured a cup of hot espresso over the ice cream. It was delightful!! The portions served were not large, but fresh and well prepared. The service was excellent, the atmosphere superb, the view expansive. Our tab was about $70, which comes to $93 US after the 13% tax and 10% service charge.

In this wonderful day of celebration, as a gift, my friend and I have been offered to take place in what was said one of the best restaurant for its view and sunset in Manuel Antonio. To make sûre not to miss one minute of this beautiful sunset , reservations were taken in the morning. To do so we did it through messenger, on their site and even by phone to get the confirmation! '' You will have the best table on the restaurant'' we've been told. When we arrived we 've been placed right at the entrance, which obviously was the worst spot we could choose even if other tables were still empty. Although we showed proofs of the reservation , arguing revealed fruitless . We could understand better if the servers would apologized or find a credible explanation for what's happening... The attitude of both servers were unpleasant and totally careless. As we were already there, we decided to shut our mouth and do the best to enjoy it. We took the menu. The food was ok , and at the end, hopefully ( it really worth waiting for that!) we saw for the first time the smile of the server, when we checked out our 290 $ bills. Here is a picture of the view I had.

Going to the restaurant we were not sure as the one lane road winds up the hill, and it looks like there's not anything there. Then the road gets unpaved, and it feel like a trick, but go around a curve, and there is the restaurant. Reservations are strongly recommend as they get packed. The restaurant is open, and had a patio. We did not have a reservation, but the were able to seat us on the patio, next to the railing, giving us a great view of the hillside, trees, ocean, and horizon to watch the sun go down. It was suggested to us before going to try a pina colada, it was good, and served in a pineapple. The food was very good, people were friendly. The service was excellent, the staff did not push, but when asked the explained the dishes. We had a very enjoyable time, by the time we were done, the sun had set, the restaurant was packed, and we were able to take a taxi back to the hotel.

Amazing food and terrific view! Really recomend mahi mahi fish and tuna! Super well cooked vegetables and black beans clll as sides. For lunch I had seafood salad with the tiny crab 🦀 that was just simply not worth to be dead for this dish. There was almost no meat and so much shell… On our last dinner here staff wanted to trick us to buy an extra whole bottle of wine which we did not ask for. They sneaked in a bottle next to our table, did not open it in front of us and then insisted we ordered it. When I started to explain that we did not (which 2 people can possible drink 2 bottles of wine in one evening??? Switch on logic),the waiter bursted with anger and said “Okay, I will pay for this bottle!” Yes, you pay for your mistakes Food is good overall, view is amazing but the situation with wine on our last night gave me mixed feelings about this place

Everything is right here. Well, the 800m Offroad may not be for everyone. Nevertheless, it is worthwhile. The view is stunning and breathtaking. There are countless places to enjoy the sunset with a good meal or a cocktail. At noon it is bearable here in the shade with a mild breeze even in the tropical heat. The service is perfect and you get tapped water until you drop. We had Surf and Turf from the special card. Grilled tirloin steak with scampi and tuna. The vegetables were also perfectly cooked. The portions were generous. The prices here are in the upper range and you still pay tax and service on top. The guests are therefore rather wealthy. I was particularly surprised by the two disabled parking spaces directly in front of it, the ramp and the corresponding toilet. Likewise, the straws made of paper surprised me positively.

This place has no idea what a filet mignon is, how to cook an or how to serve it. It was not bacon-wrapped as described in the menu. They put it on the grill and browned one side and then turned it over and plopped a piece of raw bacon on top. It was served on top of some kind of mishmash of vegetables and what was supposed to be mashed potatoes. It was all mixed together and greatly resembled dog food. I don't know why some restaurants have things on their menu that they have no idea how to cook or serve. The place was empty when I went for dinner, now I see why. Service was very slow. Once I was finally served my food I was not visited again. Had to get up and go ask for my check when I was ready to go
