Starting from the beginning-on the display they only have massive pizzas that they use for selling cuts, but on the menu there is only one price, which suggest they only make pizzas in one size, the one on the display. Unfortunately when you come in to order you find out that prices in the menu are for much smaller pizzas, so first disappointment. The pizza came quickly but it was definitely one of the worst pizzas I have ever tried. Everything was watery, with no taste, and the dough was so thin you were unable to hold it, because it would bend down and everything was leaking on the plate. At the end when it came to payment I was informed they only take cash. Only AFTER I ordered! I travel a lot and I have never had problems with card payment, I hate to carry a heavy wallet full of foreign currency that I have nothing to do with when I get back from my trip. I always use international bank card. Also I used it many time in Zadar. I was always informed at the very beginning if the place didn’t take cards. But here no, and when I said I should have been informed before, the waiter shrugged and laughed saying “you should ask”. No, I shouldn’t! Yes, there is a cash machine next to the place, but withdrawal cost me additional 30kn and also the minimum amount was a lot higher that my bill so I ended up with stupid currency in my wallet and paid additional 30kn for his miserable experience. When I came back to pay and said it’s not fair the waiter actually laughed. Definitely...
Read moreThis is rather a late review, as my visit to this place was over a year ago. During the very last day of my 5-day zadar trip, I made the terrible mistake of having a SINGLE slice of pizza in this place. Not wanting to take risks, I ordered the safest pizza, just pepperoni. Fast-forward 5 hours, I wake up in the middle of the night with extreme nausea and sweat. I had diarrhea and I vomit for 3 days straight. Couldn’t make it to the airplane and had to go to the local hospital. Please note that the so-called hospital was nothing different than a Soviet Gulag. It has been a year since, and I still cant eat pizza, fearing I would re-live that day. My sincere advice is: STAY AWAY...
Read moreThe pizza was just OK, tasted like most average pizzas do. Thin crust.
It's definitely not how 'mama' used to make it, in fact it'd be fair to say it's made using the 'stretch it as far as it'll go n call it large method' Oldest trick in the book.
Exceptable levels of cheese, average pepperoni/toppings. That's OK. And thoroughly expected.
Price reasonable, large slice of pizza for around 21kn. Not moaning at that in the centre of town.
The guy that served me was extremely miserable, not in a jovial comical type of way, but in a horrid dismissive semi- aggressive type of manner. Obviously hates tourists.
Can't and won't...
