I was looking to eat somewhere local and I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. It was far from local though. Due to its proximity to the cruise terminal, you'll find a lot of tourists who come to dine here. The ambience was quite inviting from the outside. The restaurant has a nice vibe in general with stone walls and good decor. The big disappointment for me was the food. I had high expectations while ordering fish (as I know fish is really fresh here similar to Split), I think what I was served could have been so much better. I ordered the sea bass filet (€28) which looked very sad for the price they charge. Along with that I ordered a portion of side salad (€5) and a glass of white (€7). They also provide a portion of bread on the side which you can pair with olive old and balsamic vinegar. The olive oil tasted very cheap and the bread was old and almost hard (perhaps it was out in the open for a long time). The waitress was attentive and pleasant, she was kind, however, the male staff was a bit rude. He wasn't very welcoming and almost gave me a look as if he didn't want me there. That's a pity because he seemed to selectively make small talk with a lot of bigger groups of people. Perhaps he is used to the big groups of tourists who also generate more revenue! Anyways, this restaurant is passable and I'd not go there out of the way or make plans to book a table. There are several other great places to eat in Dubrovnik.

Wow, I still cannot believe how lucky we were to find this gem on our last night in Dubrovnik! We were walking past it and started chatting to one of their customers outside, we asked if it's a nice place to visit and he said we really should as this is one of the best (if not the best) restaurants in town especially if you're looking for seafood. So the next day we went there for dinner and oh my it was amazing! There was one fantastic guy serving everyone (it was quite late at night and there weren't many people left), he was literally providing absolutely the top best service, very polite and attentive, and very passionate about the restaurant and what he does! We travel a lot, and this gentleman provided us with one of the best experiences ever! We had starters and main dishes, everything was delicious - the owners of this restaurant make sure they only use fresh produce to the point that the salad is made from leaves and vegetables grown in a garden at the back! I wish we had room left for they fantastically looking homemade desserts, but we were too full, maybe next time! Thanks again to the amazing gentleman who looked after us, he's a real asset to the owners!!!

A phenomenal meal. Our family shared the Beef consommé and veal risotto to start, both were excellent. The consommé was rich and flavourful but remained light. It was delightful. The veal risotto was outstanding, tender meat and plenty of it with a lovely hearty flavour and tender risotto rice. For mains, we had T-Bone steaks, Biftek fillet steaks, spaghetti bolognaise, fish and chips and tuna steak. All were sublime, with great seasoning, cooked beautifully and cleanly presented without any unnecessary fuss. This is good hearty traditional food, fresh, flavourful and perfectly cooked. The service was also very friendly, fast and professional. Everyone who worked there made us feel welcome, answered all our questions and were very helpful and welcoming. We finished with assorted desserts, all of which were lovely. We were so impressed we have booked to go back tomorrow. 5/5, a fantastic experience.

Terrible service, I suspect this waiter has racial discrimination. Here's the story: We came to this restaurant for a meal. As soon as I walked in, the waiter was very impatient and rude with us. He told us he was very busy and then told us not to rush in a very impatient tone. After ordering, I went to pay the bill. When I was paying on the first floor, I said hello to him. I saw him glance at me out of the corner of his eye, but he was still typing on his keyboard. I waited for him. Then suddenly a group of white people came in through the door, and he went out to greet them. When he came back, I stood there and reminded him "bill please". He told me in a very impatient tone that he was very busy and would come right up. So I went upstairs and asked my companions if they had already asked him for the bill. They told me no. So I was very curious about his service, what was the problem that made him even more impatient with me. Then I saw him come upstairs and first settled the bill for the two white people sitting next to me. He even bent over and handed the payment machine to them. After a while, he also came up to give me the bill, but he almost SHOUTED at me and told me 91 euros. Saying impatiently again he is busy . ????????

What's wrong with you? 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄Damn it. I won't indulge you, I wont tip you. If you can abuse me, you will also get a chance to abuse others. I will leave you my first worst review

BTW: At that time, there were six other non-local people sitting next to me, and they also expressed the same opinion about our experience and strongly supported our approach, believing that this waiter is racially...

We had a dinner for two there last night. Fish and Chips and Lignje na žaru (grilled calamari).

Restaurant seems nice, full of people, waiter was well educated and friendly profesional.

Fish and Chips (cca 14-15 eur) was mediocre, like same quality from some cheap restaurant. French fries tasted like not freshly fried, but as if they laid somewhere in food heated for like hour, or so. Not crispy but soft and squashy.

Simillar story with calamari, they were not hot but nearly lukewarm and also quite chewy. Many restaurants can do better.

We had higher expectation from restaurant with 4.6 rating. But maybe this is why it is Bistro. We were hungry so we were happy to have some food.

We ordered bottle of their own white wine Pošip, Glorijet for 18 euros. I was specifically asking waiter if that is their own wineyard and He confirmed. Later I found out there is different Brand of wine (i think it was Skaramuca) on the bottle but I didnt cared much ať the moment, It was nice wine.

We payed like 73 euros and left without bill. Later I recounted and realizes that they over charged us for about 20 euros, bcs. we should pay like 18 (wine) +4 (bottle of water) + 14 (fish and Chips) + 14 to 20 (calamari) = 50 to 55 euros.

I assume waiter gave us another wine than we asked for higher price like 40? euros instead of 18 which would explained bill of 73 euros.

My mistake that I did not checked the bill right away and left without that bill, but beware for that if you happen to chose...

I regret to say that my recent dining experience at Bistro Glorjet fell far below expectations. Upon arrival, the greeting was less than welcoming; we were briskly told to "be fast," despite the restaurant remaining largely unoccupied throughout our meal. This set a disconcerting tone for what was to come.

The service was notably poor. The sole waitress seemed overwhelmed, serving both us and the few other guests with visible frustration and discourtesy. Her interactions ranged from ignoring our attempts to get her attention to openly expressing irritation, as overheard in her exasperated comment to another guest: "you could tell me so before for Christ's sake."

Aside from the service issues, the atmosphere was marred by a general lack of cleanliness, particularly with regards to staff uniforms, which did nothing to enhance the dining experience. While the cuisine prepared by the chef showed promise, the slow service further detracted from our enjoyment.

To add insult to injury, the prices did not reflect the quality of service received, and I found them to be unjustifiably high. It is unfortunate that the culinary skills of the chef are overshadowed by a decidedly unpleasant dining environment.

I write this review not out of malice but as a caution to future patrons. Bistro Glorjet has potential, but without significant improvements in customer service and overall dining experience, I cannot recommend it. Potential diners should consider this before deciding...
