The Boutique Hotel Porto served as my lodgings for a 3-night stay. Overall, I’d give this hotel 3-stars, losing two stars for some basic things I expect a 4-star hotel to deliver. I selected this hotel because it was out of the city centre, but Old Town was close to reach by bus. Also, the room size and the overall price met my standard. Plus, my rate included breakfast and a taxi ride from the airport.

Reception upon arrival wasn’t warm, but it wasn’t downright rude either. The lady representative was straight to the point. She checked me in with ease, provided me with my key, a map of the city and the buses that would take me into Old Town. The welcome was efficient, but lacked the friendliness expected of a four-star hotel.

My superior double room with a balcony was spacious, but the lack of decor made me feel like I’d wasted money booking here.

There was noticeable wear and tear everywhere in the room. The bed was comfortable. The shower was nice and never ran out of hot water. The television worked, but only had two channels in English, and they were both news channels.

Wi-Fi worked very well, except on my final night when it went down for some unexplained reason. The view of the street from the balcony was okay. However, there are no lights on the balcony, so I couldn’t enjoy a nice cup of tea before bedtime like I wanted.

Breakfast was standard continental. No flare, no fuss, but filling. Nevertheless, cleanliness is an issue the staff needs to work on. There were plenty of times I came down and there was food and crumbs on the floor and tables. Pretty disgusting for guests to see that when they come...

We booked a suite for this hotel. Hotel was very botique style, it was really small. The reception desk was literall around 100 cm long and I nearly missed it when entering. Only 1 lift in the hotel. Rooms were large overall but it felt more like an apartment hotel rather than a normal hotel. Our room had a bathroom, VERY large living room and a small bedroom (small as in, all it could really fit was the bed and nothing else).

staff were really friendly if you need shaver / toothbrush then feel free to ask the receptionist. they actually have proper ones here as we were given a pack of 3 toothbrush, mini toothpaste and razor (ones that you would buy from a shop). This was odd but definitely not a bad thing. I also asked for slippers and they had the typical hotel slippers Rooms felt very much like an apartment than a "room". Large balcony too. Be careful of the bathroom floor if youre wearing their slippers and the floors wet! It becomes VERY slippery. No bottled water provided in the rooms Breakfast was just 1 long table. Around 6-9 hot items, fruits, cereals , pastries, cakes, juice and milk. If you want any hot drinks, you'll have to ask the staff. cutlery at the breakfast wasnt the cleanest. I had to swap forks twice as it still had some food from previous washes. Location was very convenient. Outside old town so not noisy at all. 2 mins walk from bus stop to old town. 5 mins walk to bus stop to opposite direction (coach station) and a very large tommys...

This hotel is located at Lapad, hence, it is quieter and lee crowded, which we like. Our queries with the hotel through the Expedia Messaging service were answered to very promptly and clearly by Ivana. She arranged airport transfer for our aged parents without any problem.

We arrived on a different flight (late at night) and took the airport bus shuttle (€10 per person only). The bus only stops “officially” at the Old City and Gruz bus stations, but if you tell the driver where your hotel is, and if it is convenient for him, he will drop you at the nearest stop so you can get off the bus. The driver stopped us in front of Tommy Supermarket, and we were able to walk to Hotel Porto without any problem even with our large roller suitcases.

We had booked 2 “Classic Rooms” through Expedia, and our rate comes with breakfast. The rooms were large and spacious, with all the modern amenities and necessary toiletries. Everything look very new and modern, and the cleaning was very thoroughly done, as the rooms were spotless.

We slept very well at night, with no noise disturbances. Beds were comfortable in both rooms. Breakfast was sufficient and varied. We loved it! To get to the Old City, there is a bus stop just a few metres in front of the hotel. If you are in a group of 4, it’s cheaper for you to just...
