3 spread starter was amazing, definitely a favourite to share between 2 people. You could taste the flavours of each individual spread coupled with the homemade crackers it was great.
Super spicy poke bowl wasn't quite the hit we expected after eating a great starter. The tofu was more sweet than spicy, no spice at all. You might want to emphasize spicy to the chef if ordering this.
Seitan King also didn't hit the mark for us, seitan was a little too oily and I found it didn't really have any flavour or taste to it. The gnocchi tasted like normal potato and not sweet potato but the lava sauce was nice.
Great service therefore would return but order different mains.
I've down rated my review as today I went for the 2nd time and the service was well below par.
Ordered the 3 Spread for starters, Burger Sliders, fried potatoes and side salad for mains and the Raw Choco Delight for dessert.
The 3 spread starter failed to arrive as a starter dish, instead the mains Burger Sliders, fried potato & side salad was served. When we asked the waiter what happened to the starter he had to check with the 2nd staff member who then had to ask a 3rd staff member who then came over to ask what we ordered! Very poor considering the order was written down by a waiter it appears it wasn't correctly processed by the 2nd staff. He did offer his apology but could have gone a step further by saying he will bring the starter and take back the mains until we are ready for that course. The food might be good tasting but this kind of fail really spoils the customers dining experience and leaves a sour taste (no pun intended) for the customer.
The dessert was good and did enjoy it but the shine on this place has been knocked out so unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.
This review is not intended to disway future customers from dining at this place but more for management to get a handle and look at ways to improve the customer service...
Read moreFantastic find on our last night in Dubrovnik. We literally stumbled upon this place on our morning walk in to the old town and found out it had opened just a few days ago (hence why I couldn’t find it when I searched for veggie places on google or happy cow!). We decided to go for dinner that evening and tried a few things between us:
Starter Potato fritters: these were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served on wilted cabbage, with shoots and seeds to garnish and a homemade minty vegan mayonnaise. It was delicious.
Mains “You need protein” (aptly named considering the lack of vegan options in Dubrovnik!) which is a trio of tofu, tempeh and seitan with a side of some roughly mashed pumpkin and potato. All of which was well seasoned and delicious. “Chef visits the market” a selection of seasonal vegetables and leaves with some chopped seitan. This was a bit oily but had good flavour.
Dessert Orange, carrot and carob cake. Tasted a bit more like chocolate cake but was very tasty as well.
Overall definitely worth a visit, just wish we had known about it earlier as we would have been back...
Read moreI stumbled upon this place 4 hours ago and haven’t left yet! The turmeric latte was probably the best I’ve had, the juice was real (not primarily apple juice like most places), the sweet potato fries were exactly what I was craving, the table wine wasn’t overly sweet, and the veggie burger patty was probably the most unique I’ve ever had (although I have to say the bun was bigger than I prefer, so if that’s not your thing you might consider ordering it without). As for atmosphere, well, the fact I’ve been here over 4 hours says a lot! It has coffee shop vibes and pirate ship views— you can sit and work for a while, and there’s a literal pirate ship across the street. Also, the garden is super cozy, but it‘s winter so I didn’t get to sit out there. The staff are there when you need them, but they don’t keep bugging you, which is important to know if you’re used to people checking in on you all the time—it’s up to you to let them know you want something because they don’t want to bother you, which I loved. Needless to say, I’ll be back...
