Surprised to find such a gem near the ferry port. But what a pleasant surprise!
This was an easy 10 minute walk from the bus station to this restaurant and ferry station. We had just got off a LONG bus ride from Albania so we were hit and hungry!
Greeted by the sweetest young woman (short straight brown hair in a ‘bob’ style - thank you for your kind greeting). She saw our backpacks and let us know they had a ‘luggage storage’ corner just inside their cafe. What a great concept!! Also a fun map up on the wall that you could make a note and place were you are from - (Ventura California is now on their wall!).
Seating is great on their covered patio. Nice tables and chairs including soft throw blankets in case it’s chilly.
Menu was extensive and the best thing is many vegetarian and VEGAN items!!
Since August 2 we have been traveling in Portugal, Spain, France, Croatia, Montenegro and Albania. In these almost 8 weeks, we have only found true Vegan here at Bon Appetit and in Albania...go figure!!
The waiter was super friendly and nice when he took our order and helped me decide on which vegan dish was the best fit for me today. They have a few 100% vegan dishes on the menu.
I enjoyed an iced espresso as it was a warm Saturday. Simply ask for your espresso to be poured over ice (they also offer an iced coffee that is more like a dessert). My husband enjoyed a draft Pivo.
The best was my Vegan platter. A vegan patty, grilled veggies, a beautiful salad and a helping of chia ‘pudding’. HUGE amount of food and absolutely wonderful. My husband who is vegetarian enjoyed a Margarita Pizza. The dough looked hand thrown and baked in a wood fired oven. Beautifully presented.
Free WiFi. Even nice clean restrooms.
Prices were medium. We paid a total of 189Kuna or $28USD. After being in Albania this seems extremely expensive but for Dubrovnik I would think it’s about $$ or €€ level.
You will not be disappointed here. From how full it was at 14:00, I think it’s a very popular place. And it deserves its following.

Read moreAmazing food with generous portions for good price, especially for Dubrovnik. The service is great, but a big shoutout and Thank to Mr. ANTONIO who made me and my mum spend amazing time with his kindness, irony and skills(5 stars service). After we tried the place and the food we spent the rest of the trip eating here everyday so we had the opportunity to try breakfast, dinner and most part of the menu. Highly recommended the local meals (which we’ll miss a lot..), especially the risotto and the roasted bream filet. In general the fish plates are exquisites. Good breakfast/brunch also with coffee included. The only weak point that could be improved about the food is the pizza, and the dough. Hopefully we’ll come back to Dubrovnik soon and one of the reasons is definitely to come back...
Read moreWe came here late at night (22:30) and they accepted us, group of 6, which is great and it is not seen everywhere.
The waiter was nice and attentive, offering a table and asking if everything was going alright.
Due to the pricy food - kind of expected since we are in Dubrovnik - most of us went for pizzas, also since this place has italian theme.
Pizzas were frozen, and taste was pretty insipid for 15€ according to the group.
The greek salad was tasting a bit sour due to the cucumber - seemed to be too ripe or in bad state -
I ordered the octopus and expected something great from this region. Unfortunately, the taste was mediocre and cooking point was way over the ideal, probably because it was frozen (which I understand). The rest of ingredients on the dish were straight...
