Our hopes for this restaurant was high but sadly we were met with big disappointment. The staff took far too long to come with the menus and no drink menu was offered. For a restaurant who wanna have a luxury aura their menu itself look bland and could be mistaken for a kids menu at a low key restaurant.
Initially we wanted the tuna, but sadly it was out for today since the restaurant claim it only uses fresh fish. We were recommend the restaurant specialty or choose some of their other fishes and offered us to look at their fish disk. To our surprise the special wasn't even there so we decided to go for the calamari. To my knowledge calamari is a special way of making the octopus, which is cutted then fried. What we got was a whole grilled octopus which wasn't cleaned before it was cooked. The entire octopus was filled with ink and the entire dish tasted awful and can without over exaggerate be the worst dining experience we have ever experienced. Which comes from a couple who eats a lot outside, especially seafood.
I also want to point out that the waiters never came during our meal to offer us or ask if we want to have some more drinks our if we were pleased with our food. Neither were them to be found.
When we had decided that we wanted to leave and finally could find a waiter, the waiter asked why my wife hadn't touched her food and we pointed out the fault. He by no hesitation offered us another dish but the only consolation for us was to have the check and leave as soon as possible. First you ask about menu and prices - you hear that there is no menu and on the day of your dinner you will actually see the available fish and seafood. The price that you can count on ranges between 60-130 HRK per person. So two days later we came and ordered dorada and tuna, pork steak and drinks and we paid 879,50 HRK (=117Eur) with dorada 60Eur/kg!! This sounds crazy knowing that dorada can cost in another good restaurant 20-30Eur/kg. When we tried to discuss this crazy price with the waiter, he miraculously showed us the menu with high prices... (and it was the same waiter that told us before that menu is not available) To sum up: --Overpriced for tourists --Food is definitely not worth this money --Long waiting time (50min for extra french fries?!) Came at ~12:30. Knew it was early but asked the waiter if they were serving lunch. He said yes but I would have to wait a while which was fine because I was in no rush. About 20 minutes later he came to offer drinks. Another 10 minutes he came to explain they had two options for lunch: a black risotto and a chicken pasta.
An hour after that the chicken pasta came. The pasta was sorely overcooked, the cream sauce completely lacking in any flavor, and the chicken (despite being doused in cream) was dry and tough. I couldn't even finish it. The other patrons seemed equally unimpressed.
