Šunkica - Great place. Best place! The. Best.

I have said it many, many times island of Hvar is horrible. City of Hvar is even worse. Don't go there. It's really hot during summer season. It has perfect blue sky without clouds. Yes. It's true. No clouds. It has beautiful natural beaches with crystal-blue-turqouise clean sea. Not one. Not two. A lot. Best beaches. I mean a lot of them. Awful. No polution at all. Horrible. And there are lot of celebs. Not like me. Good lookin sexy people which just wanna be seen. Horrible. Big shots from Hollywood and Silicon Valley also. Disaster. They don't love me. Sad. It's just sad. A lot of luxurious yachts, sailboats, heavy duty 1000HP rubberboats. Horrible. But this place of city of Stari grad is awesome. It's a gem. Totally better then city of Hvar. Name 'Stari grad' means 'Old city'. Its old. Really old. Older then America. They even have Pharos marathon in August. It's long distance swimming competition. Tremendous. I would compete, but I don't know how to swimm, which is sad. Very sad. Pharos is ancient name of Hvar. Just fantastic. When I was at this newly opened little diner "Šunkica" which really means "small ham" I said to my friends: "We have to make cevapcici like this". We have so much to learn from our Šunkica's friends. I feel sorry for people who will come to Hvar and will not eat here. This place is huge. I mean diner as a place is pretty small. But heart of the owner is huge. And warm. Very warm. Not warm as hot in Hvar. That's disaster. This is cool. Warm, but cool. And such fantastic customer service. They even have stone walls on restaurant. Ancient walls. Great walls. Big walls. Strong walls. Just beautiful. It's fantastic. I love it .You'll love it. Now, to be fair - you know I am tough, but fair -I don't know why they don't have crab soup. Or lobster sandwiches. Not even tuna steaks. I have been to Japan. Japan is, you know, a huge country. I mean huge. HUGE. The biggest. After America. America first. Japan second. Stari grad third. Hvar last. Crab soup which I ate in Japan with chopsticks is the best. The Best. Here, they don't have it. I was dissapointed. They have cevapcici. Cevapcici is also great. Very affordable. 'Ćevapčići with lepinja, onions and ajvar'. Bosnian meal. But not like crab soup. They have onion rings. Like in America. It's excellent, but it's not croatian food. I would like to see some lobsters on menu. They have also chicken sandwiches. Great sandwiches. Tasty sandwiches. But not like tuna steaks. You will love Chef! Great guy! Huge skills! Fantastic talent. You will love owner, too. Her name is Kristina. Or Kika. Like my cat which passed away. She is the best. The. Best. Or in croatian words "prejaka"! Say it: PREJAKA. Like me. She loves me. She really does. She don't like fake people like our Government. Or our politicians. Or HDZ. Or SDP. Or any other 150 political parties we have in Croatia. Or croatian IRS. All fake. Just fake. But she loves me. Trully does. She loves animals, too. More then people. But not more then me. Lovely. Great spirit. It's fantastic! You will recognize her by curly blonde hair. We call it 'minival'. Great hair. The best. It's true. But my hair is better. And I don't even have a hair. Her honest cute smile is hidden only when she drinks. Her smile is real. Not a fake. It's true. Ask anybody on island of Hvar. She is so cute that you might end partying with her all night long. Real doll. Party doll. She is always with beer. If you see bottle of beer somewhere on the island then she is for sure near by. Or maybe she is in bank or post office across the diner trying to make lazy dalmatians to work and saving them from 'fjaka'. If you read all this, I will share a little secret. If you, by any chance, mention name 'Hrvoje' you might get 10% discount. But you have to know how to pronounce It properly. I didn't. BTW. If this guys want to keep up, they're going to have to get a crab soup which is just a spectacular dish. I give them 5 out of 5, even there is no golf course...

I definitely recommend this place. If you want to take a break from all the overpriced tourist traps around here and have an Aperol Spritz that is NOT watered down for 6.50 EUR and different food to all the other places, COME HERE‼️

Also very nice live music some evenings. Food: burgers, tacos, pulled pork sandwiches, tortilla wraps....
