I was having lunch in this restaurant yesterday with my boyfriend, and decided to leave a review myself after reading the arrogant response of the owner to our review yesterday.
First of all, in a real restaurant the chef would come to talk with the customer, if there are issues with the menu or the food. We were trying to deal with the waitress, who seemed to be in a rush all the time even though there were only three other people eating there.
Secondly, when I received the tuna surprise, and mentioned about it, we were asked whether we're both vegetarians or is it just me. Talking about that arrogance... Dear sir, I am not a vegetarian. I just happen to be very allergic to any kind of fish, it could cause a severe anaphylactic reaction, possibly leading to death.
Again, a real restaurant would always make sure all the allergenics are listed on the menu, and that there are no surprises for the customers.
Finally - about the food that I was able to eat and that my boyfriend ate - the quality was mediocre at best, wet salad and cheap taste. Maybe worth 2/5, but your overall performance as a "restaurant" and a "business" brings it down to...
Read moreHonestly one of the worst restaurant experiences of our lives. In the photo there's left the single okay thing, which was the beer.
Be careful with what you order. There are surprises with the plates. My girlfriend is highly allergic to fish, and her olive paté was actually a tuna paté with a hint of olive in it.
After that, the main course (a salad) included blue cheese, which can potentially be dangerous for her, being pregnant. I know, someone might say that it's our responsibility to list all the ingredients to avoid, but a customer should be able to trust the menu when ordering, no?
My food was mediocre at best, the octopus salad just tasted cheap. On top of everything, the service was extremely slow and carefree even after discovering a potentially lethal allergenic in a customer's food.
Our compensation was not having to pay for the salad with the blue cheese that she didn't eat anyway.
Just terrible. This average of ratings is just plain incorrect and...
Read moreOMG! The best ever! We read the menu of this attractive place, while deciding, and were pleased to see prices that were in line with other places. When the food came we realized this was not a normal restaurant - not like other places - it was amazing and clearly “world class”. The marinated anchovies, the risotto (kettle fish), the octopus, a pasta dish were all some of the best dishes we have ever experienced anywhere - and we have been around! In Vancouver Canada, where we’re from that meal would have cost a lot more and still would not have been as fresh and good - so yes, we were happy, and will go once more before we leave. I got to try their burger. Highly recommend this place. Get any...
