Balkan Grill — Restaurant in Općina Bol

Extensive menu at this easy-access restaurant in the middle of Bol. The menu offers quite a lot of choices and it is hard to make a final one. But since we did not find that many restaurants offering čevapis, we went for the classic option.

Balkan bread, ajvar (there is never enough) and red onions, the meat makes all the difference and here it was pleasantly seasoned and grilled. A perfect score for the čevapi. Portions are generous.

Additionally, we tried the truffled fries which combines cream, grana padano et truffle and we were pleasantly surprised with the end result.

The premises are clean, modern and airy, and the bathroom is clean.

The one thing we were disappointed with was the interactions with the staff : cold, unpleasant, it is as if they would look through you instead of talking to you. I have rarely been so uncomfortable talking with somebody and I hope the staff finds a better attitude or they will not have return customers. To be improved as it leaves a bad impression which is self-inflicted because all other aspects are perfect.

Real tourist trap. On July 7th, we ordered pommes, sis and veliki cevapi with two glasses of house wine. The menu listed the wine at 2 euros for 0.1 L, but we were charged 13.2 euros instead of 4 euros. I refused to pay the extra 9.2 euros. Initially, the waiter claimed there was a system issue and offered to pay the difference in cash. However, he tried to give me only 2 euros back, arguing that the glasses were 0.2 L each. I found this place after walking around the entire port town of Bol and it was an oasis of comfort and deliciousness for exceptionally low price. For just €7 I ate the best meal! I found out the reason is that the bread comes from a small bakery and has no additives, it was exceptional, they also get their meat from a small provider. In my opinion, everyone should go to this wonderful stone building that has been excavated and the obala stone has been beautifully incorporated. Five star food, service...
