Only restaurant to directly ask me if I want to eat (seemed desperate) but it's normal in the south I guess. But other restaurants don't do it here.
They say they have a wonderful garden, and their menu looked very nice. Funny names - "Let's taco bout it" for example.
We are then taken upstairs, we order a cheese plate of various Croatian cheeses for starters and two main dishes (risotto for me and sword fish for my girlfriend) + 2 beers. Beers come relatively fast.
30 min later we ask a status on the cheese plate starter, and the waitress says they're all new and still figuring things out. Fair enough. Restaurant opened 2 days ago, at time of writing.
Cheese plate then comes almost immediately after we ask for it. There's one cheese in several pieces, and it has 0 taste. Ok, no worries, we still have main dishes.
Main dishes come as we are eating the cheese (??) and waitress asks, while I literally have cheese on my fork, if we're ready for main dishes. What can I say other than yes??
We then receive swordfish and risotto. For starters, the sword fish looked like a baked schnitzel and tasted like paper. My risotto was made using normal boil rice with some added sauce. It had nothing to do with risotto in any way.
We end up not finishing any of the plates, and to top it off, my girlfriend started crying in disappointment because we'd been hungry for hours.
Never coming again and I advise others to...

Disappointing experience overall. The atmosphere in the 'secret garden' was lovely, creating a great ambiance for our meal. However, the food failed to live up to our expectations, especially when compared to other restaurants in Bol.
We ordered the mussels, which were just okay. Unfortunately, around 50% of them still had their beards attached, which really affected the enjoyment of the dish. When we brought this issue to the attention of our waiter, his explanation was that they had been picked only 30 minutes prior. This excuse did not justify the lack of attention to detail in preparing the mussels.
Moving on to our mains, the pastacida was tender and flavorful, but the steak salad was a major letdown. The steak was incredibly tough, making it a real challenge to chew and enjoy. It was disheartening to encounter such inconsistency in the quality of dishes within the same meal.
Considering the range of dining options available in Bol, we expected more from this restaurant. While the atmosphere was delightful, the underwhelming food and the issues with the mussels and steak salad left us with a less than...
