Such a pity this place gets it so wrong sometimes. Nice pub and friendly enough staff but food wasn't great for the price. Had the Sunday roast. It was at 7.30on the evening. Most stuff had run out. Had the beef with gammon (as you couldn't have the beef roast on its own at this stage). Was dry, small and bland. Was one slice of beef and one of gammon but thin slices. Fine if it wasn't £14. I did gesture to the staff (they always ask as you're eating) but he ran off before I could speak. If it wasn't that I was out with friends and not going to eat again tonight I would have ran after him. Mentioned it to the staff when they cleared plates. They apologised but that was it. Won't eat there again. Took the photo so at least you know what your getting (as I say partly eaten but remember it arrived with one piece of beef and gammon). So yes it's partly eaten but believe me but by that much. Not worth the money and as I live close by in the westend will be telling people accordingly.

Hadn't been here for years, came in for lunch with friends. Couldn't believe some of the prices for main dishes and burgers. I had a side of Mac n Cheese which was the smallest portion for £4.50, looked like I had around 20 pieces of pasta absolutely ridiculous portion size. It did taste nice but not enough for the money paid. I also had the Skin on Fries, decent portion size but the fries were too crispy which wasn't nice to eat. It's also very dark and gloomy inside no character, definitely gone down hill and the rest of the menu I thought was far too expensive Wouldn't recommend

Great atmosphere and a beautiful pub with good service. Drinks are slightly above an expensive pub's prices. We were going to have dinner but after we ordered some sides of chips and Halloumi fries it was clear we'd still be hungry no matter what we ordered. £5 for a side of "thrice cooked" chips (they are basically Tesco frozen fries) and you could count them (see pic). The £6 Halloumi fries were bigger but you still felt shortchanged with the portion. If you can't get chips right then I can't justify ordering a main for £15-20. Just go for a drink if you find yourself here.
