Visited today with a voucher for 2 which included 5 tapas to Share and a glass of sangria each.
On arrival a very dour faced server “greeted” us. there was only one couple seated and dining. The server seated us right beside their table I requested to sit further away, and she did this by missing one table and sitting us at another. Then 2 minutes later a group came in and sat them in the table we refused, so tables three Altogether when the restaurant was empty. Very inconsiderate.
I cannot fault The food, it Was Lovely. But to be served your tapas oil and balsamic in a clearly visible chipped dish, I was not Impressed and brought it to her attention and she changed it. But not her sour attitude. The Bread was fresh, But cold.
Then on top Of That there is a 10% discretionary Service charge. My husband queried this on the Bill and it was removed.
Good quality Restaurants in the West End are plentiful, Therefore Cafe Andaluz needs To up its Game to Compete.

Read moreThis used to be my favourite restaurant but standards are definitely slipping. First Garlic and Cheese bread was burnt not what expecting at almost a £5ver a pop. Portion sizes again seem to give more to men than women not for the first time has this happened. I had 3 honey and mustard chicken strips my partner got 2. Both of which were greasy and bland didn’t taste honey or mustard. Half full Chorizo and Black pudding with about 5 bits of chorizo if your lucky. Carne de res pecante now a £3 supplement so watch out for that hidden charge. Desert portion again bigger for me smaller for my partner. All 4 of us came out hungrier than we come in and also watch for fly 10% service charge so at nearly £100 they are adding about a £10 tip on to your bill I mean are they for real? Cost of living crisis and we have restaurants adding £10 tips I will crack the jokes and we’re swiftly told to get that charges removed from bill also staff couldn’t get order right so not exactly worth the expected service charge sorry not sorry I...
Read moreFound this place by accident when looking for somewhere to eat. We have not been out for ages and did a game of put up a Google map of the west end, shut my eyes and touch the screen. This is where we landed and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Gentleman who greeted us was warm and friendly, the atmosphere as soon as you walk in was buzzing. The seating is comfortable. Staff were over withing minutes to take our drink orders and left us to choose. The menu is not massive, so your head won't be spinning trying to choose, but the descriptions of all the amazing food make the choices tough. We chose a sharing platter to start which was with us quickly. I asked the advice of our server as to how many dishes to choose and she recommended 5 or 6, she was spot on,as there were two of us the amount was perfect, the food was delicious, full of flavour and fresh. All in all an amazing experience and we are already trying to decide what dishes we will have next time, maybe even...
