From the very moment I stepped into Opas Restaurant, everything felt welcoming. The interior, with its combination of soft lighting, warm colors, and tasteful traditional decor, created a unique sense of calm. Even before placing my order, I knew I was in for a different experience.

The staff greeted me with smiles and a friendly demeanor, making me feel like a special guest rather than just an ordinary customer. They patiently explained the diverse menu and even offered suggestions, which I later realized were excellent choices.

When the food arrived, its pleasant aroma and beautiful presentation showed it had been prepared with love and care. The first bite erased all doubts — flavors were perfectly balanced, ingredients fresh, and every dish cooked with exemplary precision. Especially the kebabs, with their tender texture and rich taste, clearly demonstrated the chef’s genuine skill.

Throughout the meal, live music played softly in the background — neither too loud to be distracting nor too quiet to go unnoticed. It added just the right warmth and intimacy to the atmosphere. I felt everything was in perfect harmony: the food, the environment, the music, and even the behavior of the guests.

For dessert, I ordered the homemade baklava. Its soft and delicate texture combined with balanced sweetness and delightful aroma created a unique experience where each bite felt like a brief moment of joy and tranquility. The authentic taste and high quality of the ingredients were evident, and this simple yet flawless dessert provided a sweet ending to an unforgettable meal.

I can confidently say this experience was more than just dinner; it was a small journey into a world of flavors, sounds, and pleasant sensations. Without a doubt, I will return, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a complete and...

We had an amazing time at this restaurant. To begin, we stayed at the Amanti hotel for 2 weeks and would daily walk on the public path that goes in between the indoor seating and some of the outdoor tables every day, we would always get a friendly hello off of the staff working and a how are you, not once were we ever hassled or pressured into coming into the restaurant, a sign of a place that speaks for itself. After hearing guests at the hotel rave about the food we decided to try it for ourselves and as we walked by one night we let the staff know we would come in a few days to try the food finally! They recommended we booked a table as they had music and traditional dancing, so we did! We were welcomed nicely into the restaurant and had the traditional Cypriot Meze for our meal, which was a number of local small plates such as sausage, pita, olives and dips to name a few. The entertainment and show was great, lots of crowd participation including most of the restaurant up dancing and even fireworks going off! Honestly the food was amazing and it was so great to try the local food, the entertainment topped it off. They even have nice ornaments and statues inside the restaurant, to which we noticed a German shepherd ornament which felt like a sign to us that we were in the right place as we have German shepherd’s too, Adamos, explained that his father had a German shepherd and that was the reason for the ornament. But honestly we are so sad we won’t be walking through your restaurant every day and stopping for a chat and seeing how busy the place is. The owner, Adamos and the lovely girl at front of house are so nice and welcoming that we truly will miss them. Hope to see you guys in the future, love from your Scottish friends,...

Ambiance: We were looking for a place that feels, looks and tastes traditional to Cyprus and it's culture and Opas checked all of those items from our list! From amazing entertainment that involved the guests, live beautiful music, fantastic, friendly and caring staff, we felt more than welcome here. One thing though. Making a reservation is a must because you don't want to miss out on this restaurant and often times it's full! When it comes to reservations we loved that you can choose to be seated near or further away from the entertainment, which means that they really do care about the personal preferences of their guests. We were always checked upon by the staff to make sure if everything was great to the point where we all were in a "thank you" - "no, thank you!" loop.

Food: We were looking for traditional Cyprus food, but we didn't want to stick to just two dishes so we were happy to see the traditional Cyprus meze in the menu. We got complimentary wine glasses of possibly the best wine we ever tasted! The food followed so fast that we didn't even expect that it was our meal that was coming. When it comes to the meze we were met with a large variety of different dishes accompanied with explanations, recommendations and more! Each and every dish was warm, fresh, tasty and completely different to anything we tasted before. It had the taste of a traditional home-cooked meal in the best way possible! This might be the best place we have eaten at on a vacation so far! If you are reading this review and contemplating, just go! Book it, you will get phenomenal food and an amazing experience in one place.

Pricing: The prices are more than fair for the quality, quantity, ambiance and experience that you get. We are definitely coming...

We had dinner here on our first evening in the town, on the recommendation of artificial intelligence. We had to wait about 20 minutes, as everything was full even though we went around 7 PM. They seated us at a high table, on the outside of the establishment’s fence. There was live music, but we could still talk there. We ordered the local meze. It was tasty and since it was our first time we had no complaints. The portions were exactly divided - one of each for everyone. We were warned that it’s a lot of food, which it was, but since I’m pregnant it was just enough for me, without overeating. Since part of the meat was lamb, and I don’t eat it, my husband had the honor of eating it. However, he didn’t like the sheftalia and we returned it. There was tzatziki, tahini, cheese with hot red pepper and their typical olives with mustard as starter appetizers with pita bread, followed by local dishes like zucchini with eggs, fide with tomato sauce, Cypriot potatoes sprinkled with oregano, meatballs, stuffed grape leaves, souvlaki and finally as a compliment from the establishment - melon, we are two people, but the slices were three. The food was tasty, but I can’t say it was memorable. Otherwise, the service was great and the atmosphere too. A bit more commercial, but that seems normal.
