We didn’t have a booking, asked for a table for four. Seated right out front, and given menus. Ordered some drinks and was given plenty of time to go through the menu. Food arrived in a timely manner and was presented (albeit on wooden boards, which isn’t my thing) very well. The four steaks we had were cooked to our instructions perfectly. The restaurant was really starting to busy up when we finished our food. The service sort of went down hill from here. It took an age to catch the eye of the manager, when I did, he gestured with his hands the international sign for the bill, I shook my head so he came over. I asked for more drinks and a desert menu, he pointed at a QR code on the table and said to look there. Took over ten minutes for our drinks to arrive, nobody came back to take a desert order so we didn’t order. The manager was great with other people, shaking hands, hugging smiling etc even to one point what seemed to be an esteemed guests drink was empty and he literally ran to the bar to order the drink and the drink arrived in less than a minute. We had finished our drinks, the place was getting full and we still couldn’t get anyone to come with the bill. One of the group had to ask a server when they went to use the restroom for the bill. Paid in cash, no worries, could have paid with a card so both options available. Restrooms were very clean. Food lovely, they must know it’s really good because no one came to the table to ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything when we were eating. Service for us was lacking. Fillet steaks for each of us and a side of onion rings to share, and two drinks each cost €210. So...

There’s one thing that really bugs me though, last year we came and my wife sent her burger back because it was smothered in mayonnaise. She does not like mayonnaise and it does not state on the menu that it has mayonnaise on it.
Our first visit this year I ordered the blue cheese burger and it came with mayonnaise, you put mayonnaise on the table but make the choice to smother everything single burger in mayonnaise regardless of what the burger already has on it. Mayonnaise and blue cheese? Either put it on your menu or stop putting it on the burgers and let people make their own choice if they want it.
Also any decent chef would know that you need to toast a burger bun to stop it going soggy as you can see in the picture. Tomato on top of bread does make for a nice burger to eat. The burger it’s self was actually nice and the blue cheese...
