Ammos — Restaurant in Larnaca

Not bad. In summary, the bar is located by the seafront, offering a nice view. The food is okay, but be prepared for the crazy-loud music. Now to the full review:

After two visits with friends and family I came up with a few key points that I'd like to mention.

1. The Atmosphere: The music is EXTREMELY LOUD, making it almost impossible to hear anyone near. There are real drummers, who play along to the prerecorded soundtracks, which overall makes the atmosphere more lively. The interior offers a breezy summer vibe, in the evenings you may witness colorful disco lights.

2. Taste: The food itself is pretty mid. I took two dishes - "The Hungry Takis Burger" (apparently the only burger on the menu, photo attached) and "Brooklyn Love" rolls (also attached). Though I ordered a medium fry, the burger arrived well-done, which made it taste a bit too dry. The bun was a regular package, not some fancy brioche, but eh, okay. [€16]. The rolls were pretty good: the rice was sticky, the fish was fresh, as well as the unique presentation made it a pleasant experience. [€10] Overall, the food was fine, nothing superficial, though its worth mentioning that the ingredients were fresh and the meals were neatly prepared.

Despite the odds mentioned, the place is overall cool if you're looking for a warm-up before a night club, as it's very clean, the staff, well, exists, and the overall interior makes up for a fine...

A beach bar/ restaurant on the middle of Mackenzie beach in Larnaca overlooking the landing planes. Good selection of food and wine. Lots of uncomfortable wooden stools and dirty tables from the beach sand. Lots of waiters. Small selection of cocktails. The straws for the drinks are a joke. They use thick makaroni pasta for straws instead of traditional plastic ones to be environmental friendly, however, if you order to go, they give you a big plastic conventional glass, with a makaroni. You can not stirr your drink with the makaroni. You can smell the taste of pasta in your drink. They serve you 8€ drink with nothing to take it with, like few nuts or popcorn (should be asked and paid separetely). Also cocktail presentation is non existence like you order a milk shake. Unacceptable for such price paid! Average music. Too crowded. Overrated Moderate-high prices.

We had a bad experience, as we had arranged a reservation 2 weeks earlier for an event. They made us sure that there was not a minimum consumption of alcohol. As we sat on our table they inform us that the big boss came and ask everyone on the tables to leave and stand in the front or on the bar otherwise we had to open at least one whole bottle of 100 euro minimum. The excuse was that they didn't have extra personnel to serve for single drinks everytime. Note that we had already paid €20 per person for the event's entrance and they wanted us to leave from our reservation. We didn't have problem to pay that amount of money for our consumption however we prefered to drink beers than the bottle of gin, vodka they wanted us to buy etc. Finally the manager came and ask us to move to a safer place as we had kids with us and got a table on the patio without minimum consumption.
