Zakos Beach Restaurant — Restaurant in Larnaca

They have a happy hour 4-6 PM, 2 cocktails for the price of 1. At first no one told us about it and we were billed full price even though ordered after 4. When noticed in the menu, they said that from now on it will be happy hour price, but after 2 cocktails (for the price of 1 in their defence) we were told that cocktail person is busy cooking and will only be able to make cocktails in 50 minutes, which would be after 6PM. When asked about happy hour, they laughed and said yep, that’s after happy hour. Essentially, they did not want to sell us more than one drink during the happy hour promotion, only after. Misleading and dodgy.

In any case cocktails were ridiculously sugary even though we asked not to add any sugar. They told us the fruits are sweet naturally which is an absolute lie. There is tons of sugar syrup added.

Gem find at the end of MacKenzie Beach!! Especially if you like plane watching since it's next to the Larnaca airport.

Staff here are super friendly and the level of service here is next level!! Old mate kept checking in on our table to make sure everyone was good for food and drinks. I think he's trying to make sure I don't fit my pants when I walk out from here.

Definitely value for money with the amount of food you get here. Very fresh seafood produce, and old mate brought a couple of whole fishes to another table for them to choose!

The Cyprus coffee was nice and rich, perfect for after meals. If you're ordering beers, you can get them in ice buckets to stay cold.

I visited this restaurant with my family a few weeks ago and had quite a poor experience.

First of all, the service was really slow. We waited about 5 minutes just to get the menus and around 10 minutes for our drinks. The restaurant was not aesthetically pleasing and quite dirty. When the food finally arrived, it wasn’t what we were expecting. The “pizza” we ordered was not a real pizza; it was a frozen pizza from a supermarket and it wasn’t even good. We also ordered seafood salad and ribs, and they were not good either. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be visiting again.
