Gastroland Project — Restaurant in Larnaca

Visited this place as the tourists wandering around Larnaka and the old city of Kition. We were surprised to hear that Gastroland is mostly known only among the local people. It's quite a sophisticated restaurant with good, delicious food at a reasonable price.

In comparison to Protaras and Agia Napa, the portion size and the price-quality ratio stand out considerably. I took an oven-baked salmon with rice, vegetables and sauce, and I could barely finish half a portion. Thanks to the polite and caring staff of Gastroland, I had the rest of the food packed for me (so I was happy not to care about my dinner afterwards). I also could address another comment about the excessive amount of salt in my dish, but I do not consider it as a major drawback - it was still amazing. My friends took pastas and sandwiches, and they were also very satisfied with their choice. As long as I remember (might not be true), vegan/vegetarian dishes are also available. The indoor area of the restaurant is clean and kept cool by a good conditioning system. Hand sanitizers and wet tissues are always available, the staff is constantly wearing their masks. A SafePass was asked for at the entrance of the area. The design of the place is simple and appealing. A coffee shop is situated to the left of the main dining area, so having a drink is also not a big deal. Pastries and ice cream can also be purchased for a good dessert. The workers of the place speak good English and show politeness, friendliness, and readiness to support and help.

Overall, I would highly recommend visiting this place. If you share concerns about the huge amount of salt in the dishes, I am sure those could be shared with the staff of the restaurant upon placement of the order. As for my friends and me, I am sure that if we get a chance to come back to Larnaka for a day trip or more, Gastroland would surely be an important point of...

To begin with, the restaurant looks good but I think that is as far as it goes. Upon entrance its rather confusing as where to order, you cannot tell if its self-service, a Buffet or restaurant service. Today was my second time trying their kitchens as the place boast of many cuisines under one roof. The first time was a delivery of Lamb rotisserie which came dry and overcooked as if it was left in the hot plate all day. The pork shank was good and tasty. Today we ordered Beef Teriyaki which was way way to salty, my wife loves her salt but this was even too much for her. I ordered the Honey Chicken Stir Fry. The chicken texture was like it was reheated with no flavour and dry and the sauce did not taste like honey but as if sugar was poured into the sauce, all you could taste was a very sweet broccoli, the flavour of the chicken was totally absent. Disappointed as expected something new as the idea is there and Larnaca so drastically needs something like this but it just isn't up to the task. I don't mean to be harsh on the establishment but please you have to raise your standards , we all want to make good profits but we must also offer...

Terrible service, ordered a beef teriyaki and barely had any meat in it was actually 7 pieces of it and chicken dish had triple amount of meat. After found a hair, after contacting venu they refuse to give any refund for portion of rice which suppose to have beef in and answering me that there is no person working with light color hairs as I mentioned light color, which was difficult to understand which color as is thin and in the rice and sauce. Went for a lunch there few times, all walking with VIP sindrom, in stand of care of costumers worker took a cigarette and went out for it. Can't tell more my despondent, food may good but the way they are not respecting anyone who walks in...
