Plaza Cafe — Restaurant in Larnaca

Nice restaurant by the beautiful beach promenade. Well established, pleasant interiors and music. I visited around noon on a Sunday on Dec. 1st, the weather was warm and sunny, the city was not crowded with tourists.

The food was good, fresh and tasty, fairly priced. The downside: service was very slow, I waited a long time to order and then to get the check. I gave up dessert or coffee as I only had a short visit between flights. They were kind and hospitable, gave me an adapter to charge my phone.

Another downside: the restrooms are small and not handicap accessible, they're upstairs. Disabled people may be able to use the restrooms of the adjacent hotel lobby, but again- the toilet stalls are small.

I visited Plaza Cafe today for a lunch break and was thoroughly impressed. The food was outstanding — we had the open steak sandwich with Jack Daniel sauce, and it was nothing short of incredible. The flavor was rich and perfectly balanced.

We also tried the swordfish, chicken skewers, and chicken sandwiches (also with the Jack Daniel sauce), and every dish was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented.

On top of the amazing food, the staff were professional, friendly, and attentive, making the entire dining experience even better.

Burger was very ordinary, flavourless, avocado wrap was good, minestrone soup was veeeeeryy BAD - I guess the soup was instant (bought in market) - glutamate, hard and dry pasta and vegetable, horrible. Service was alright until paying. We wanted to pay separately - that was the problem. We had to count our costs by ourselves. Then they said we have to pay cash and they have no cash back. So we said we have no money for that so they said we need to go inside the restaurant and all the meals name there to pay separately with card. It was very...
