A Shocking Dining Experience: Perilous Glass Threats Await at To Aithrion
My recent experience at To Aithrion has left me utterly horrified, as I discovered the establishment's blatant disregard for basic safety measures, particularly when it comes to their seemingly innocuous transparent doors. The hazardous condition of these doors posed an alarming threat to both patrons and their own children, resulting in unwarranted injuries and unconsciousness.
Upon entering To Aithrion, the glass doors struck me as visually appealing, seemingly emphasizing a modern and sleek aesthetic. However, appearances can be deceiving, and it quickly became evident that these transparent doors were far more treacherous than meets the eye.
Throughout my meal, I observed multiple instances of children innocently playing near the exit, their parents averting their attention momentarily. To my utter disbelief, my 9 year old daughter, unaware of the impending threat, inadvertently collided with the ultra thick transparent door, resulting in an alarming head injury. The sheer force of the impact rendered her injured almost fatally. The shock of customers and mere inertia and lack of attention by the restaurant staff added to the experience. On top of everything the staff is incompetent and the food mediocre. I recommend avoid at all costs...
Read moreThe people who run Aithrio Tavern clearly do not care about anyone around them. They blast unbearably loud live music until 1 AM, making it absolutely impossible for anyone nearby to sleep. It doesn’t matter if there are children, elderly people, or tourists staying in the hotels just meters away — they ignore everyone. According to EU standards and basic decency worldwide, silence should start by 11 PM, but here it feels like lawlessness. Complaints are ignored, and it seems they are even in collusion with the police, because nobody reacts.
The owners only care about making money, not about the suffering they cause. They have zero respect for human rights, for peace, or for the simple need to rest. This place is a disgrace to Cyprus — a country known for kind and welcoming people. The behavior of these owners is the opposite: selfish, arrogant, and shameful.
Please avoid this place at all costs. Do not support people who exploit others’ misery for profit. Aithrio Tavern is not just a bad restaurant — it is a disgrace and a...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem & one that we are so pleased to have found. You are in the middle if Larnaca but you would never guess. You walk through to a beautiful courtyard to sit under huge sun shades. The food is wonderful & the staff extremely attentive but not intrusive. Our lovely waitress was happy to amend our chosen dishes to suit us. We had the Atlantic Salmon which was a very good size & beautifully cooked. We didn't want the rice which the changed to chips for my husband & extra salad for me. We will certainly make sure to revisit every time we are in Larnaca. Would we recommend a visit we definitely would and do this is a little bit of...
