Had dinner here and ordered the following:
Sea bass tartare, beef carpaccio:
Both very good, sea bass tartare had a beautiful flavour with the mango pieces, very refreshing tasty dish.
Carpaccio was nice, little overpowered by the truffle and other accompanyments.
For mains I had the ribeye steak, was cooked ok (little overdone for asking for rare recieved medium)
Two things I had issue with on the dish, firstly I asked for no chips which arrived with the meal anyway, it's not a big deal but it is wasteful as I specifically requested without.
The main thing I had a problem with was the fact that on the menu it stated it would arrive with brocollini, and it came with standard broccoli a much cheaper tasteless alternative, a little disappointing considering the price of the food.
The other main ordered was a slow cooked rack of lamb. Very tasty but again came with items not stated in the menu, the person who ordered this asked if there was anything on the dish that wasn't on the menu and lone behold it came with a rather large portion of cous cous.
Overall food was ok.
Service was a bit of an issue, everything arrived in a timely manor however the staff had shockingly little knowledge of their own menu and drinks.
When we asked simple questions about the food they kept having to "ask someone" or told us more or less what we wanted to hear....and then the food came with bits we didn't want....
Although many of the staff said they didn't drink alcohol (which is completely fair enough) it seemed surprising even still that they had no idea what wine we requested when we ordered a bottle. We had to be asked several times which one we asked for. When we were told the one we asked for had sold out we asked if they had anything similar and no one had the slightest clue.
Whilst being abstinent from alcohol is no problem if you are selling and serving it you should know your menu like the back of your hand and they didnt seem to know much.
None of the above poses significant problems however as one of the highest rated fine dining restaurants in larnaca I expected...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant that left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the incredible atmosphere and stunning design. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, creating a truly memorable dining experience.
To start off our meal, we ordered a variety of appetizers including the sea bass tartare, avocado salad, and fried eggplant fritters. While they were enjoyable, they didn't quite reach the level of excellence that the rest of the experience offered.
Moving on to the main course, I opted for the harissa grilled chicken and prawn risotto. Unfortunately, both dishes fell short of my expectations. The chicken was disappointingly tough to chew, and the cous cous lacked flavor. Similarly, the prawn risotto failed to impress, as I have had much better versions at other establishments.
As we concluded our meal, we indulged in the desserts, trying both the cheesecake and galatoboureko. While they were pleasant, they didn't quite reach the level of excellence that I had hoped for. The cheesecake lacked the desired crunch in its biscuit base, and the galatoboureko had an excessive amount of syrup.
Despite these minor setbacks, I must emphasize that the overall experience at this restaurant was truly remarkable. The ambiance, design, and service were all exceptional, creating an atmosphere that was both inviting and memorable. While some dishes may have been average, the overall experience was still enjoyable.
I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant for its incredible atmosphere and attentive service. While some dishes may not have met my personal expectations, I believe that everyone's taste preferences differ, and there is still a chance for others to find their perfect dish at this...
