BEFORE YOU MAKE A RESERVATION THINK TWICE I i i when i considered giving this opinion or review, I thought not to do it. that , you, us and me we work hard to get the money in order to travel and spend your work effort here in Cyprus, and make a reservation or being a walk inn customer of this taverna. Of course the reviews for this restaurant has been made by tourist so they do not have a strong background about Greek or Cyprus food. Even then I decided “i must write this review. “ 1.- the restaurants was full, which sometimes means it has good food. Not a in this case at all. A lot or must of the tables with a reservation sign.
2.- we asked for halumi cheese, tzatziki, beef stifado, muska’s, and bukakika( one bottle of white wine).
3.- halumi arrived : it is not halumi cheese. A halumi cheese means a type of cheese. Not just a semi melted cheese ( any fresh cheese on grill). No lemon not flamed ( with any wine) 4.- tzatziki: real bad !!!! No dill, not skordo ( garlic) mo cucumber not olive oil! This was the first and must important advice of what it was coming on. If a restaurante can not make a decent basic tzatziki then you can expect any thing after this. Like a gamble!! 4.- then the musakas arrived: very bad look. Just pieces of potato, eggplant, “meat” with a non decent aroma much less flavor. No tomato not cinamon. I even don’t want to talk about the bechamel on top The worst I ever taste and see in the last 7 years. 5.- stifado: real bad, taste , bad looking, cooked fast and bad. Even with this we have been decent customers and we asked and played for the bill. With just tasting one or one and a have spoon: $52.00 euros
Is not a matter of money is a matter of being decent: not because you or me we will never come back again or maybe yes to Cyprus, we deserve this cheating food !! You and me we might be eating all around the world. Fortunately this taverna just can serve food here. Besides all the previous information, just to put the final touch to the experience, he only was able to say: we serve a lot of tzatziki, and Muzak’s every day !! He wasn’t not at least a little humble to say “ ok I will check it out !! The customer is wrong he is ok! So sad, so sad Think twice. Maybe you will be there after my review just for being curious. Good luck! I might eat in other countries other places or even here in Larnaca, but fortunately they just can have only...

Unfortunately, my experience at Militzis Restaurant was extremely disappointing, despite its reputation.
Upon arrival, I noticed that most of the tables had visible “reserved” signs. Out of respect, I avoided those and chose a table that had no reservation sign and was completely unoccupied. A waiter came shortly after, handed me the menu, set the table, and began service normally.
However, about five minutes later, another staff member approached and abruptly asked me to leave the table, claiming that it was now “reserved.” I explained that there had been no sign indicating this when I sat down, and that I had already been seated and served. His response was that it doesn’t matter if there was a sign or not—the table had now been reserved by phone, and I had to move or they would not serve me at all.
This situation revealed three major issues in their service: Lack of transparency and organization – If the table was reserved, why wasn’t it marked? How was I supposed to know? Poor management priorities – It seems I was asked to leave just to accommodate a last-minute phone reservation, even though I was already seated and being served. Disrespectful customer service – There was no apology, no alternative offered with courtesy, and no effort to make me feel welcome. I was treated as an inconvenience rather than a guest.
I felt disrespected and unwelcome. So I left without ordering anything.
No matter how good the food might be, customer service is what defines a restaurant. In this case, the way I was treated speaks louder...
Read moreDidn’t want to write anything but it’s better do and forget finally about that unpleasant evening. I don’t recommend to visit this place unless you are a Cypriot and they treat you in a different way if you are. Right from the coming and till the leaving had the feeling that you are not welcome. The food we ordered was normal (beef and lamb with potatoes) and awful (the pork souvlaki), it was fat-meat-fat+bones, didn’t get which part of pork it was though as an Armenian I tried a lot of pork souvlaki. It was burnt, it was fat and impossible to eat. We were sitting for about 40 min with an empty and dirty plate of my husband (nobodY took it) and mine almost untouched. When said to the waiter about the meat, he said, they cook it like this (seemingly burnt), it’s the pork they cook (fat) and I needed to eat it with lemon (which no one brought me). No apologies, no suggestions to try something else, +INCLUDED the dish into the bill. And upon leaving they gathered around the plate and we poking the meat with a knife , I guess saying nothing pleasant and trying to exonerate in the eyes of other customers. NOT RECOMMENDED. P.S. planned to watch the World Cup final there but didn’t wait till the end, plus you can see the...
