Catrina’s has a beautiful interior and a great vibe. The decor is well done, and some of the music really adds to the atmosphere. The service started off great, with drinks arriving in two minutes and food following quickly. However, after that, the staff forgot about us for a while. We had to flag them down for another drink, and our dirty plates sat on the table for at least 15 minutes. It might have been because of the carnival, so it’s understandable, but still something they could improve.
Food – Overpriced and Underwhelming • Shrimp tacos (€20) – Just boring. The shrimp itself had no seasoning or zest, making the taco completely forgettable. For this price, you’d expect bold flavors, but it tasted like plain shrimp in a tortilla. • Beef tacos (€18) – The waiter insisted they were pulled beef, but what we got was minced meat. The tortilla was too brittle, breaking apart with every bite, making it messy and difficult to eat. • Truffle fries (€14) – The biggest disappointment. Just regular fries with truffle-flavored sauce and parmesan—no real truffle. This price would be high even in New York or Geneva, let alone Cyprus. • Margaritas (€12) – The classic margarita was fine, and the mango margarita was on the sweeter side, which my boyfriend liked.
Final Thoughts
Katrina’s has potential, but it needs serious improvements: • Use real pulled beef, not minced meat. • Season the shrimp tacos so they have flavor. • Fix the tortillas—they shouldn’t break apart. • If charging for truffle fries, use real truffle. • Be a bit more attentive after serving, even on busy days.
On a positive note, we got a free drink after the waiter through Iqos by accedent into my nearly finished drink, which was a nice gesture. The service was friendly, and overall, they are doing a good job, but the food definitely needs improvement.

Read moreThe passionfruit & mango Margarita was probably the highlight of the whole meal. We ordered coca cola chicken chicken wings to start then for mains , chicken quesadillas and the Imperial wagyu . The starters were spot on - very tasty . Then it kind of went downhill from there. Our jug off Margarita took nearly 30 minutes to turn up! The wagyu steak arrived and was a major disappointment- totally tasteless. The chicken quesadillas them arrived 35 minutes after the steak ! The waitress was so embarrassed that she told me my chicken quesadillas were on the house. The chicken quesadillas were nothing special..We have had much better , authentic and better sized portioned Mexican food in Ayia napa! To be honest we were severely disappointed by our whole experience @Catrinas! To add - we didn't have a reservation and it was carnival night . The waitress was trying her hardest as it appeared that the kitchen were not dealing very well with the amount of orders . For this reason I give 4 stars for the waitress's seher...

Walking into Catrina’s feels like stepping into a lively fiesta—great music, vibrant decor, and an atmosphere that screams “you’re about to have an amazing meal.” And then… the food arrives.
Let’s start with the positives: the margaritas are decent, the staff is friendly, and the music might even get you to forget the impending financial regret. But once you see the prices, you start wondering if you are at a Michelin restaurant.
The tacos? More like tac-no’s. Tiny, underwhelming, and about as flavorful as a microwaved supermarket wrap. The portions are as generous as a stingy abuela, and yet, the bill arrives looking like you just bought a first-class ticket to Mexico.
Overall, if you love great music and a fun atmosphere, this is a solid spot—to have a drink. If you’re here for the food, just be prepared for the true spice: the...
