AMANO Kitchen Bar — Restaurant in Nicosia

Amano doesn't have an identity, the menu includes various cuisines such as Peruvian (ceviche), Italian (risotto), Middle Eastern (muhammara dip).. we tried 5 dishes and none of them was particularly memorable.

What was memorable is that the "outside" space (where smoking is allowed) is completely enclosed and integrated with the indoor space, as the glass folding doors that divide the two spaces up were fully open. There were lots of people smoking and the smoke was everywhere, it was a nuisance which ruined our experience. When we politely asked the waiter if they could close the folding doors, they said it wasn't possible and we were simply offered another table, which wouldn't have made any difference because there's no separation between the two areas anyway. There was no apology even when the waiter was informed that there were pregnant women there.

I visited amano twice and both times we had a pleasant experience.

Food: Overall we enjoyed all the dishes as they had top quality ingredients. The salad was one of the best salads I had and I am not a salad person. The mushroom truffle risotto and the truffle ravioli are my favorite dishes there. Also I was pleasantly surprised by the corn which had a really comforting taste. The shrimp burrata pasta could use some more flavor and it was a bit bland. The French fries were perfectly fried and salty.

Service: the service is excellent and the staff is really polite and helpful. The food arrives relatively quickly with no delay.

Prices: the prices are a bit high compared to the serving sizes

Overall is a great place that I want to visit again and try some...

It exceeded my expectations in every way, I had an amazing time. The waiter is so professional he provided us with exceptional service throughout the meal and guiding us through the menu with expert recommendations. The ambiance was stylish and chic, accompanied by soothing music that enhanced the dining experience. And lets not forget the food how beautifully it was presented and amazing flavors I recommend specially the duck boa buns, vegan gyoza, risotto with prawns, chorizo and the best is rib eye steak yummy yummy. DONT leave the place without trying strawberry love cocktail! As a tourist I highly recommend this place. I cant wait to go back for another...
