Unfortunately, we had a bad experience here.

We ordered our food, I went for what was supposed to be the best steak in Paphos and my wife ordered the fish and our children ordered their stuff. Then another family came and sat next to us. They ordered, received their food, ate it, paid for it and then left before our food had even arrived.

Nobody was checking on us and we had to ask where our food was many times. We were then given various excuses, but it was obvious that they had lost our order. There was very little in the way of communication or customer service. We watched another table devour their pizzas, pay and then leave whilst still waiting for our food. You would have though a drink or some form of gesture would have been offered for the exceptionally long wait.

It had been over an hour and finally the children's food arrived, but not mine or my wife's. A little later my wife's fish arrived which was so dry she started choking. I tried it and it was horrific. Presumably it had been sitting in an oven for a long time. Finally my "best steak in Paphos" arrived, medium rare. Or at least that is what I had asked for.

Instead, I received a steak that a trained veterinarian could bring back to life. It was completely uncooked in the middle but well cooked on the outside, indicating that it had not been brought up to room temperature before cooking - most likely because they had indeed forgotten our order and had rushed it out.

We complained and the manager came out. He started poking and prodding my wife's fish trying to say it looked ok, but refused to try it, which we knew why. He looked at my steak and reluctantly agreed that it wasn't good and eventually he said that he would take the fish and steak off the bill as if he was doing us a favour. Unbelievable.

That aside, the atmosphere was quite nice, but their customer service needs major improvement never mind...

Aside from some of the customers behaving like zoo animals and several members of staff walking around with their eyes closed, the host on the front was very welcoming and talkative. His knowledge of the menu was extensive and enticed us to try this restaurant. Nonetheless, his role felt very scripted and waffly after 5/6mins of the spiel. He was not involved in any table service and made no communication after seeing us to a table. Part of the reason we sag down was because we were really hungry, and most other restaurants on the harbour that we had passed were already full. If we had known there was a pizza express or ocean basket further down then we would have dodged this place altogether. We ordered two glasses of wine, a bottle of water, carpaccio to share, a pizza and a small spaghetti and the bill was just short of €70 - quite expensive in our opinion! The carpaccio was okay but not authentic at all - meats were very thickly cut and there was too much (cheddar?) cheese chopped all over. The pizza was also okay, but nothing special. The spaghetti bolognese was extremely disappointing and rather inedible. It seemed a safe choice on the menu, however the pasta itself was rock-hard and served at room temperature. The beef didn’t have any flavour either. Dolmio Bolognese is 100% better. The main dishes seemed like they had been left under a heater for the duration of our starter course, rather being cooked fresh once we were ready. We won’t be returning. If you’re looking for a nice meal on the harbour, skip this place and walk...

Drinks took over 20 minutes to be asked for once seated and then a further 15-20 minutes to come. Food was on a ‘queued’ basis so couldn’t order until people who had been there ‘longer’ had been served! This was not the case as we were a table of four and only ordered mains - a family of four seated 15 minutes after us and two couples who arrived around 20-30 minutes after us all seemed to receive their food before us, one of the couples even managing to leave before we had even received our food! The two family’s next to us had similar issues - one family had been there since 7:30pm and didn’t manage to get their meals until close to 9 o’clock - they had taken to playing a game of uno to bide the time! With food service being terribly slow you might have expected to be plied with drinks - this was not the case - it look a Herculean effort to even ask for a drink never mind the 20 minute wait to receive it! Food was alright for the most part (nothing to write home about) but not decent enough to warrant an hour and a half’s wait for it (especially with no drinks!). Staff were also not helpful and in denial about service times - no apologies were provided for the horrendous wait for food! Customer service was severely lacking! All in all if you want to test your patience and wait a crazy amount of time to be served this is the...

Enjoyed the meal here with a nice view over the harbour and sea. We were disappointed when we ordered the ‘Cyprus Dips’ (sits at about €12) that the waiter automatically tried to persuade us to order more pitta breads as there ‘wouldn’t be enough for the both of us’. We refused, assuming that dips and pitta costing €12 should have enough pitta bread for 2 people, but alas only one measly pitta split into four slices was served to us. The dips were massive, so there just wasn’t enough dipping material! Considering this is already an expensive appetiser/side, having to pay extra €€€ to make the dish enough for 2 people is nothing short of exploitation! Top tip: use the free bread rolls that they give you for more dipping potential ! Despite this disappointment , the rest of the food was lovely!

A friendly gut at the door told us how good everything is. Very fresh very good quality and meat from australia. The reality is way different as he said. The fish we got wasn‘t grilled at all. It wasn‘t cooked even properly. The side dishes had no seasoning. The vegetables just cooked and the fries weren‘t crispy at all. The only good thing we had were the calamari which are pretty good. Everything else was mid in the best case. Wr also had a dirty glas on the table. He poured my water in and I told him that I wan’t a new one. I got a new glass without any water and they even wanted to charge it. It‘s a classic tourist trap and there are lot‘s of better options than this.

From reading previous reviews I wish I'd have read these prior to being enticed by the guy out front boasting great food and wonderful flavours... ordered the seabream as a main course, came stuffed with a lot of garlic & herbs. The fish was overpowered by garlic unfortunately and the veg was pretty bland. My husband ordered the chargrilled lamb chops and after tasting the first few bites he couldn't continue. The lamb tasted of burnt garlic, it was so strong and acrid everything tasted bitter. The waiter took the dish off the bill and offered another dish but we had no faith in anything else on the menu. A shame as it was a birthday meal and it was really disappointing.
