Everybody writes that service is good. I would say it is very aryificial. During dinner 3 people were permanently comming (every 5 min) asking 'is everything ok darling?'. To be honest it is not natural and makes to feel unconfortable. Portions as in Cyprus are really small (especially salad). Also, what I didn't like that first they brought salad and in 5 min fried calamari (main dish) arrived (at the end, I even haven't touched potatoes as ot was totally cold. The same happened with calamari after I finished my salad. They give 1 pita with butter as they say for free (but I would call it a compliment). But it is just few slices (which is really tasty). But if you eat bread it is deffinitely not enough and you need to order additional for 1.5eur. And this one is already much bigger place which is already too much. I would say or better dont give at all, or give the same size as you give for 1.5eur. In this case you will not lie that 1 is for free and extra need to pay. Calamari were good and crispy (if they could bring after you finish first meal, I had a chance to eat is hot as I have ordered the main dish not cold snack :)) ). But it was not the best which I have ever eaten. Could be at least some salt added. But if you do not eat salt, than it was ok (crispy).
Overall, after reading reviews I thought that I did right choise, but now I could say, I am not sure if I woupd come back. And to compare with other places I tried, definitely it is pritty high prices (comparing with size of portions which are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot Worth the Price for Frozen Seafood
I ordered the seafood pasta, which included black pasta, two fresh prawns, and the rest was a frozen seafood mix ā clearly not fresh. I forgot to ask in advance, but nowhere on the menu was this mentioned. When I raised the issue, the manager said that serving fresh seafood would cost ā¬50 ā which confirms that (all ?) their seafood dishes are made with frozen ingredients.
For ā¬18, this dish is overpriced. Youāre basically paying for pasta, a frozen pieces of mussels / squid, and two fresh prawns ā it shouldnāt cost more than ā¬14, maybe less.
When I said I was unhappy with the dish and that the taste was bad, they didnāt offer me anything ā no discount, no alternative. The manager simply said that āpeople have different tastes,ā and that some customers like the taste of frozen mussels.
I recommend asking the waiter before ordering anything whether the ingredients are fresh ā especially if youāre sensitive to frozen seafood. In my case, I didnāt enjoy the meal and ended up going home upset and still a bit hungry because I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe best restaurant in Paphos! Such a hidden gem, incredible food, really personable service, would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
Fabulous and delicious choices for both meat eaters and vegetarians (the veggie moussaka is delicious!). We had the (free!!) pittas moussaka, grandmas chicken, moussaka, beef and sea bass - all were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.
Baklava for pudding was warm and sticky - the best weāve ever had!
Couldnāt fault the service - food was all made freshly and brought to us promptly. Classic service with a smile and all the waiters were just lovely. They even gave us a little advice about where to park when we arrived which was a really helpful touch (you can park for free on the road the restaurant is on).
Prices very reasonable for the quality of food and service received - you can really tell that they all truly care about this restaurant š
Iād happily come here again - and plan to...
