We recently visited Omikron for brunch with our family, which includes three young children aged 2 to 6. Unfortunately, our experience was not what we had hoped for, and I feel compelled to share our observations.
As a family-friendly establishment, one would expect some level of understanding and accommodation for the inevitable noise and activity that comes with dining out with young kids. During our meal, our children were admittedly a bit loud, and at one point, our youngest screamed because she was being disturbed by her older sibling. We did our best as parents to calm them down, but it’s not always possible to keep young children completely quiet.
The situation escalated when the manager approached our table, asking us to make the children quiet as they were disturbing other patrons. While I understand the need for a pleasant dining environment for all guests, I found the manager's approach lacking in understanding and tact. Instead of offering any constructive solution, he simply asked us to quiet the children, which only added to the stress of the situation. Feeling unwelcome, we decided to ask for the bill and leave shortly after.
A more considerate approach could have made a world of difference. For example, the manager could have offered the children drawing paper and colored pencils to occupy them quietly, which is a common and effective strategy in many restaurants. Sadly, Omikron does not seem to provide any amenities for children, such as a play area or small activities, which would help keep young guests engaged and quiet.
In summary, Omikron is not a child-friendly place and does not seem to accommodate families with young children. If you have small kids and are looking for a relaxed, welcoming environment, you might want to consider other options. For now, Omikron appears better suited for adults looking for a quieter dining experience without the presence...
Read moreWe came here for breakfast on our second day in Paphos.
So we came in, and first thing you see is people smoking inside. They have some sort of veranda, and there is ventilation, but still you do not want to be sat next to people smoking, so that was not a great start. We were sat down pretty quickly, but afterwards we had to wait a while for service to be able to order. Even after I asked for attention a couple of times, we still had to wait more.
For breakfast, we had two flat whites with oat milk, and a cappuccino with almond milk (they also have more veg milk alternatives available) to drink. We also had an “ultimate breakfast” (I swapped the bacon for sliced avocado), a “fitness baguette”, and an “eggs and bacon panini”.
The ultimate breakfast was ok, but the beans were cold and the mushrooms filled the whole plate with water (I think they were most likely boiled). The bread, avocado and eggs were good 👍🏻 it is an ok choice, perhaps would have been better if the mushrooms did not inundate your plate. I asked if I could swap the bacon for avocado (same price on the menu) and the waiter said YES it is no problem. In the end, they removed the bacon as I asked but actually charged me extra for the avocado (see ticket in the pictures, charged 13.00 instead of 11.00).
The fitness baguette was gummy and dry, it was ok and definitely eatable, but I would not recommend it as a choice.
The egg and bacon panini was, according to my friend, “ok but overpriced for what it is”.
All in all, the food was ok, nothing special but also not terrible. Given the time it took to be able to order, the fact that there is people smoking inside, them lying about swapping and then charging me for it in the end, and the average food quality, I would recommend for you to go somewhere...

Hi Everyone, I rarely write any reviews,
But i felt that I have to write one for this place...
Me and my mother wanted to have a breakfast at this place, We were standing at the waiting sign on the entrance for enough time (5-7 minutes) to understand that we have to be seated soon, while the place was 70% empty, with only one reservation sign on one table!,
As no one come towards us, we stepped inside a bit to be more seen by the staff,
The staff was so rude to us,... the girl at first place informed that she cannot invite us because there are no tables for two, while the tables for 4 people are only if we were 4,
I asked her to talk with the person in charge, Because my mother have to get rest at least,
Then two young boys "who apparently are the owners of this place" came toward us carelessly, one was smiling the other (the taller one) had. A rude look, explaining the rules to be waiting outside and not step inside before they allow us to do so, while I'm standing with my 72 years old mother who just wanted to sit down.
I even don't want to go in details, But by meeting them, you will notice how these people are ignorant and uneducated, They don't have even a minimum knowledge or standards how to talk with people,
To the owners: If you don't love what you do, and you are not ready to have guests, and you really don't care, then why you open such place?!! A place for service.
To customers : If you do respect yourself and the ones who you love, don't even think to come here... avoid...
