This place is truly a great find on the harbour. With a picturesque setting and attentive waiting on team, it makes for a perfect evening or lunch. The prices are so so but in my eyes not extortionate. I enjoy going to good eateries and paying good prices for good food, which is what you'll get here. The wine also is reasonably priced for both the cheapest local option and imported option. To start we had homemade pitta with tzatziki and hummus. Both dips also homemade. I can hand on heart say that it is some of the best bread I have ever had. Just beautiful. The only thing that was missing, for me, was a bit of olive oil to drizzle over. They were that good in fact that we ordered a second round. The dips as well we're something special. I'm not a huge tzatziki advocate but my partner adores it. This tzatziki converted me and I hurriedly dissected it's ingredients so I can try to recreate it back home. Lovely yoghurt mixed with garlic, mint, spring onions. Hummus is hummus right? Wrong! It is an eternity better than the shop bought stuff and even better than some fresh ones I have had. It comes topped with a hot paprika oil. All in all the pitta and dips cost us around €15 but you got a lot of dip and bread for that. For main I had the seafood platter which at €20 I knew was well priced before it came. Grilled octopus, 3 fillets of fresh fish, 3 garlic baked mussels, two chilli dressed prawns and seared squid with a small garnish and a portion of chips and veg. WOW. Never have I had octopus cooked so perfectly, nor squid for that matter. The flavours are amazing. A bit more seasoning on the fish fillets could have probably been welcome but other than that, beautiful. My partner had the seafood pasta which came (huge) and topped with mussels in the shells, calamari and a beautifully fragrant sauce. Again, for €20 we couldn't complain. This was all washed down with a really nice bottle of Red for €17. The evening cost us €80 on the head but it was more than worth it, our bellies were full and our tastebuds more than satisfied. We've eaten here twice now and I could just keep coming back.

Truly unbelievable. Someone reported my review as offensive ...... 🤔. Who would complain about a 5* review??? NOT the restaurant I'm praseing!! Edited, I've taken out the 🫛 can reference, 🤷‍♂️. Just in case someone finds it offensive, I heard about this restaurant, and my wiffy and I dropped by for a swift lunch of bits, dips, and oysters just to try them out. I spoke to our driver, who gave me the heads up on Theo's and the history of the family owned restaurant, that was the nod that Theo's is the place to go. Even if you're all inclusive and staying at the best , get off your sun bed and go to this restaurant and eat something that's prepared personally for you. Ok, you may bulk at the prices, and yes, the evening meal for two...( ok, a karaf of wine a (( two actually🤪)), which I booked as soon as I ate the quick lunch visit was Double Bubble Inc tip, but worth every €. I could only get a 630pm slot by the water. You gotta book well ahead for the 8pm sunset covers, and we moved across to the promenade tables to free up our seats for the customers who knew and still saw the sunset anyway 😉. But we ordered a couple of night caps while the manager arranged to fetch us back to our hotel. Damn I should have got his name, but he has the widest smile and great presence ........ didn't pay for the drinks, he refused, my nightcaps were on him... , I got a handshake and a hug, and Theo's is the first place I'll book when I'm ever in Paphos. BUT, it's MEEEEEEEE there's often a But.😁. Honestly, there's a 🦤 " nearby," standing by the entrance to ........ let's say an establishment, like a kinda feathered doorman, totally freaked me out.😱 Theo's has been smashing the ceiling outta seafood, service, and ambience since the 60's , and they have no need to improve Coz its Perfection 🥰 Oh , i Nearly forgot Theo's has a wild, free, and beautiful customer that swims by occasionally. I'll raise your can, with a sea turtle. (free turtle) What a wonderful experience. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Visited on 9 June 2025 We stepped into the restaurant hoping for a pleasant break and some refreshments. Before choosing a table, we noticed an aquarium with live lobsters and walked over to have a look — as anyone naturally might. There was an empty table nearby, and we considered whether we might sit there and enjoy the view. To our astonishment, a waitress serving a neighbouring table, instead of simply asking which table we would like to sit at and offering us a menu - as anyone might reasonably expect - abruptly approached us and, in an unnecessarily sharp and discourteous tone, told us that “people are eating here” and that we should leave. We were genuinely taken aback by such unprovoked rudeness. Feeling quite unwelcome, we left the restaurant immediately — thoroughly disappointed by the lack of basic hospitality. A few minutes later, we returned to ask another staff member (stationed near the entrance by the menu in the coastal area) for the waitress’s name. He casually replied that he didn’t know. When we then asked for his own name, he responded — rather flippantly — that none of the staff had names, without so much as a hint of curiosity or concern. Frankly, we left feeling appalled. This was not just poor service — it was a complete disregard for the most elementary standards of politeness and professionalism. If the management of this restaurant reads these reviews, I sincerely hope you take this seriously. It is your staff’s behaviour — not your décor or your menu — that defines your guests’ experience. You should address this issue and properly train your staff on how to communicate with guests respectfully. A deeply disappointing encounter.

Where do I start... after being impressed by one of the restaurant owners on a previous night we chose to eat here. Upon arrival we were sat at a table squashed in between two tables, hardly able to move between each never mind adhere to social distancing. One of these tables chose to smoke throughout which was rather unpleasant for us due to the close proximity of the tables but I appreciate that’s their choice and not a major gripe. As we ordered our meal, the female waitress dealing with us took my partners drink order and as I told her my own she proceeded to turn around and top up the next tables wine, actually telling me to wait a minute, before turning round to take my drink order. In hindsight I should’ve left at this point due to the sheer rudeness of her behaviour but sadly we chose to stay. Bread on the house was first provided, obviously this isn’t usually an item to moan about, it turned up look warm but was clearly microwaved and had started to harden like cardboard. After a wait our meal arrived... firstly my partner ordered Avocado and Shrimp cocktail, what arrived was similar to a teaspoon scoop of a supermarket prawn cocktail pot. Two shrimps were all that was present, a handful of prawns and NO avocado at all. They charged us €9.50 for the pleasure of this. Secondly my Beef Kebab arrived and to be fair the beef was cooked nicely and tasted good. However, the three skewers contained one 1cm square of pepper and onion on each and 3 small beef cubes, leaving me rather disappointed. A separate bowl of veg was also provided but it seemed very similar to a frozen pack of carrots and green beans you’d get in the supermarket. I was left feeling rather hungry at the end of this and €18 lighter. We raised the fact that no avocados were present in the cocktail and firstly the waitress shot off from the table with no explanation before returning a few minutes later to argue that she thought that’s what we’d ordered and then to question why my partner hadn’t finished each And every single prawn on her plate. A lame and unwilling apology followed with the gesture of coffee liqueur to compensate... unbeknown to me at this point every table behind us had received this gesture as standard when requesting their bill. To summarise, we’ve left feeling the setting and service were nothing short of appalling, the food rather disappointing and the price...

Being a professional reviewer for Google we went into Theos for a Meal my whole goal is to gain the feel of a place the ambience, how they can deal with individuals needs so we usually will send in someone with a Wheelchair to see how they react. Meal wise the portion sizes were abysmal all the tables around were talking to us saying is that it !!

After the food, we came to pay and with all our transactions we use a highly secure internet banking system called CURVE that immediately shows transactions as and when they have gone through and not if they haven't. Immediately after seeing the transaction in my accounts the Owner apparently I now know Maria DIDNT GO THROUGH Rudely MUST DO AGAIN so I told them immediately "I'm very sorry here I can show you the transaction is showing this has shown the transaction and showed the clear as day information but she wouldn't except it. Shouting in front of 200 people extremely embarrassing this went back and forth for 20 minutes told here this is fraud and she has already taken payment and she cant force another payment of 70 EUROS this came to but to prove the point we did again and exactly the same thing transaction showed I got it shown taken from my bank confirmed by my bank and even got the two emails from CURVE confirming the payments.

I point blank refused to pay any more than considering they had already taken 140 euros from me so she threatened to call her friends in and started to ring around !!! My Wife who is pregnant was extremely intimidated by them and decided to pay them yet again on her card and that time she said ok you go now.

Still shouting calling me every name even me still showing that she stole the money plain as day when we got to the car park a car full of Cypriate young men skidded up in front of our hire car as we were about to get in gave us dirty looks the skidded off Nice sort of thing you want from a night out isn't it !!!

COMPLETE INTIMIDATION AND SCAM AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE FOOD AWFUL SMALL PORTIONS AND YOU HAVE TO PAY THREE TIMES UNLESS...
