Paladela Steakhouse — Restaurant in Paralimni

My partner and I had 3 amazing evenings out at Paladela Steakhouse during our recent holiday in Cyprus. The atmosphere was lovely, staff made us feel so welcome and service was perfect for us. All of the waiters, without exception, were friendly, courteous and nothing was too much trouble, without it being over-the-top or intense. It was lovely of them to pop over to say a quick "hello again, how are you?", which goes to show they do take some interest in their customers beyond just taking our money! The food was absolutely faultless. The Lamb Kleftico... oh my goodness, it was perfection on a plate. I had it twice and I wish I'd had the mind to ask for their recipe or tips so that we can attempt to recreate it now we're home. Just ate here – April 2025. Family of four with two teenage children. Very friendly staff and great service. They all look like they enjoyed working there. Food absolutely excellent. I will recommend the delicious moussaka and you get a deceptively generous portion and served piping hot in its own bowl, straight out of the oven. My wife had lamb on the bone with potatoes and vegetables, which she declared was fantastic and I can confirm this. Girls had ribs and lamb cutlets with great chips. We had a carafe of wine (1 L), perfectly acceptable and a bargain at about €16. Children had bottled water. Local tapwater is slightly salty. It does look cute but I don’t really understand the reviews at all. We waited for more than half an hour for our main course which was strange because the waiter was in such a rush to take away our appetizers (which by the way weren’t that tasty). Our cheeseburger was horrible. There was not even minced meat. It seemed like a fake meat patty frozen and put on the grill. The bun as well was probably the cheapest from the supermarket. After two bites we could even eat it anymore. The Prawn Pasta also had a bad taste. I couldn’t figure out if they in deed used prawns or shrimps … very heavy sauce. … When asked for the check , the waiter didn’t even bother to ask if everything was okay, when he clearly saw we barely ate.
