We read many great reviews, so maybe this was an off day, but it took wayyyy too long and there was not many customers. About 15 minutes just to order, and then after another 50 minutes my food came out (mixed kebab), and after another 10 minutes my husband's food came out (pizza). Another customer came 10 minutes after us but gave their order first, and received their food first. We saw beautiful photos from other reviews of the pizza but ours looked completely different. My husband was disappointed, and he didn't like the taste. My food tasted fine. I don't understand what was taking so long, I was a server for a few years and I could see that it was not too busy. There was 1 server and 1 cook on Sunday around 2-4pm. Tables were left uncleaned since we arrived and cats were fighting over the scraps. The server apologized but we felt we wasted too much time and regretted it. Also there are very outdated ads for a daily special, bbq soul LA in the photo for 8.50, which is not valid, so it's false advertising. It costs 12 euro. No bbq either, which is listed...
Read moreWe went there for lunch during our stay in Ayia Napa, as it came up as the second-best option when searching for a traditional restaurant on ChatGPT. When the waitress asked how the food was, we mentioned the issue with the souvlaki. Her response was, “At least you enjoyed the experience,” which felt a bit dismissive. She did try to make up for it by offering us some traditional sweets and shots of a local spirit, which was a nice gesture, but overall, the main dishes let the experience down. Ps. The pitta was really nice and I am really Sorry I haven’t got a picture of the...
Read moreFood here was great as was the setting, traditional Taverna feel! Great for families as the portion sizes are massive, we took our large pizza and pitta home to eat over the next few days as there are only two of us think we underestimated the large pizza 🤣, there was also an XL option which would be ideal as a group sharer. The pitta bread was fresh and the best we've ever had we took this to the beach with some dips for lunch the next day! Believe this is also a takeaway, we will definitely be going back to try the traditional kebabs! Very friendly staff, was busy on the evening we went but we were happy to wait for the pizza and the two people who were there cooking and serving were very attentive. All for a...
