AHINOS Mediterranean & Sushi — Restaurant in Paralimni

I will try to be polite with my review and comments! First of all the place is really nice and well designed! Ok that was the only Positive for the Restaurant. We arrived at 8:35. They welcomed us with water. We saw the menu and we asked for the waiter if we can have the sushi menu too! He said its saturday and on ahinos side we cannot serve you sushi. Ok we said! We ordered our food at 8:45. While we were waiting for our starters we saw sushi was served to other tables!!!!! We called the waiter and asked him why he said no to us? He said im sorry i didn’t understood well since there is a smaller sushi menu for the Ahinos side! Why then he didn’t suggest it on the first place when we called him the first time? He apologized and went away! Time : 9:30 we asked the waiter why is our food been delayed? Bare in mind the we ordered: Pizza (15min cook), Rib Eye médium Rare (6 min cook), Lamb chops (15 Min Cook), Pork Chop (20-25 Min cook) and Shrimp (6 Min Cook). The waiter said the food is on its way. Ok we said. 9:50 called again : where is our food? Coming out now! Ok we said. 10:15 where is our food? on its way again. Food arrived at 10:35 and: Pork Chop Dry and burned! Rib Eye Steak ordered Medium Rare but come well done. We have send the steak back and brought us after 7 min a steak rare and cold from inside. Short story long we didnt say anything asked the bill, gave us a 10% discount ( which we didnt asked) but at least they knew that they messed everything up! The elegance of its location is matched by the exquisite array of dishes, notably the superior sushi platter brimming with culinary delights—from slices of fresh tuna and salmon to seared A-grade Wagyu beef.

The extensive menu invites guests to explore a world of flavors, complemented by a well-curated selection of wines and cocktails. Our experience was heightened by the impeccable presentation, professional service, and generous portions.

However, our culinary journey was marked by a couple of hiccups—unexpected bones in the salmon sashimi and a discrepancy in the platter’s composition. The absence of scallops, a much-anticipated component, was compensated by the total number of pieces remaining constant, but the array differed from the menu description.

The staff acknowledged the oversights with a €5 discount, leaving us torn about the tip, given the otherwise excellent service. In the end, we chose to leave one, honoring the parts of the service that were outstanding.

Despite these minor hitches, AHINOS provides a delightful culinary experience, and its ambiance, food quality, and service make it a notable spot for seafood and sushi aficionados.

We came into this restraunt with high hopes from reading reviews and the person outside being very inviting and friendly createing a good impression. When we went to the waiter to get seated the restraunt looked very nice and presentable we were warmly welcomed with a bottle of water and our menus. However when we ordered and the bucket and the and the other pot were brought to us we noticed that they were dirty and also had a hair in it. We ordered crispy duck bao buns as our starter but there wasn’t much duck in it, however it was still nice. As my main I ordered a seafood ramen and was asked how spicy I would like it, so I asked for it to be a bit spicy which the waiter said is okay. However when the food arrived the broth was extremely plain with little to no taste, and it was packed full of spinach and not a lot of seafood, it was was like I was just eating ramen with water. My girlfriend ordered squid ink pasta and when that arrived the pasta was just shrimp flavoured and after a few bites was quite sickely as it was shrimp sauce and then also 6 individual shrimps with it, and it didn’t help that the pasta had no flavour to it. After being welcomed in we had 4 different servers who looked miserable, but we were glad that we weren’t rushed and gladly gave us more time to decide.
