Andama Tavern Cyprus Cuisine — Restaurant in Paralimni

The guy on the door was very friendly and welcoming. It seems they seat guests that are a bit unsure/need some persuading to come in are sat on the front row of the restaurant, and if like us you walk in definitely without looking at menu, near the back, however the restaurant itself and the atmosphere were pleasant. It is really odd how the 2 restaurants (this and The Corner Restaurant flambe) are somehow linked and the same restaurant, yet appear visually to be two different restaurants. This made quite a few people uneasy as its an odd thing and not something we have come across before, why not just make it one whole restaurant? The service let them down, my partner had only been eating her starter for 2-3 mins before our main courses were behind us being served! This is an absolute no, and they should of held the food in the kitchen for a few more minutes. My partner had the lamb shank in the hot pot, she said the lamb was just ok nothing more and the potatoes tasted really chemically and odd. My chicken kebab souvlaki was just ok, a bit plain/boring, with hard undercooked veg and frozen chips. Didn’t really feel like a proper quality Greek restaurant, and I don’t think we would return. The meals in our hotel were exceptional...

Disappointing. We chose to book here for a Saturday evening with high hopes based on the reviews and us wanting a traditional meal. Booking was easy using the online booking system. Having ordered our meals the table next to us had their main courses arrive, however they tried to explain that they had not had their starters. The mains were put on the table and shortly followed their starters. They did not stay very long which suggests they were not happy and I can't say I blame them. The four of us ordered 2 starters to share and mains including Kleftiko. Food was OK but noticeably more expensive than other restaurants we passed or ate at during our stay. I can't say why as the service and atmosphere were nothing special to elevate the quality of the food. Very little engagement with staff who were pleasant and friendly when they had to be with us. Sadly, we would not recommend here and suggest there are better and less expensive...

I eat out a lot and have visited many restaurants in Europe and this is one of the best I have eaten at. Don't be fooled by the fact that they are right on the tourist strip, this is a real gem. The staff is friendly and service-oriented and you feel welcome. The children were given crafts while waiting for their food and they were offered bread with olive oil. The portions were generous and the food was incredibly tasty. Even the children who are usually picky liked the pizza. We decided to eat there another evening and we did not regret it. We chose their tasting menu and there was plenty of food and incredibly tasty. We were two adults but we could not finish everything. They offered to take what was left in lunch boxes with us and the children got a free dessert, ice cream with crackers. We give this place our highest recommendations and will...
