The Corner Restaurant flambe — Restaurant in Paralimni

Had a dinner in the Corner two times during a one week holiday in Protaras. Basically we entered the restaurant because of the positive reviews online and our experience was so good and since the menu had many interesting dishes, we definitely wanted to go there again.

We tried the flambé dishes, for example signature steak, mango chicken, seafood platter and the crepe for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh and sides were tasty as well. Also I had non-alcoholic drinks and especially the pina colada type of mocktail was so good.

The service was exceptional! They made us feel welcome and cared and I would like to visit there again and again just because of the lovely staff.

The restaurant itself was clean, atmosphere cozy and relaxed but suitable for more formal dinners too. Next to the restaurant there is an area with some coin games where our kid was playing as he doesn’t have the patience to sit down all the time and it was easy to observe him from the restaurant table.

I would say that the Corner was the best restaurant we tried on...

We've been to Protaras 3 years running but this was our first visit to The Corner, it certainly won't be our last. Probably the best meal we have had in Cyprus ever ! I had a fillet steak with pepper sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection, the sauce was to die for and home cooked chips finished it off a treat. My wife had spring rolls and noodles in a sweet chilli sauce. She never finishes a meal but this time the plate was clean. That's after the best chicken soup we've ever tasted. We came for an authentic Cypriot meal - we we’re utterly disappointed.

We started off nicely though with a tasty tzatiki with pita. From thereon it was downhill. Pork souvlaki was over cooked to be only eatable with support from lots of water. Side dishes controbuting with nothing but filling. Homemade beefburger cooked to death - grey and as far from tender as can be. Again, sides were at best dull.

Staff seemed very busy running around despite limited crowd at our visit.

Don’t go there - there are many better alternatives close...
