Eggs Benedict was very good but the French toast was disappointing, we had to go elsewhere for more food as the French Toast portion was so small.

Edit in response to owner: I've had French toast that was a full meal in many countries. You can use a heavier bread with a thicker cut, which easily makes it a full meal (and a tastier meal too, IMO). This is the smallest French toast I've ever had. Added photos so people can see for themselves.

The French toast is in the same section of the menu as the pancakes, for the same price. I saw someone with pancakes and expected that the French toast would be a similar size. If it's a dessert, put it in the dessert section of the menu.

The eggs Benedict portion was the average of what I've received at other restaurants in the area.

Also, minus 1 star for being a bit rude in the response. You say thanks for the feedback but then imply it's my own fault for ordering French toast as a meal. If it's not a full meal, your server should warn me. Not leave me to be...

I believe there was a change in management of the place (proven by the fact that now the place is not Satsang Bistro but Satsang Grill and Cafe) - the menu I have found going for dinner was quite different from the ones you can still see here and that I remembered from my past visits (not to mention, they still have the good reviews from the previous place here, so it’s not an accurate depiction of the current offer). It’s not bad to have a smaller menu per sé, but the food was nothing special for the price. What I find particularly odd:

  1. the prices are in CZK and in EUR - I don’t see this even in the city centre (especially given the exchange rates change over time)
  2. they only take cash. This is another reason for me thinking that they changed management, I remember paying by card in the past. And the fact that they have an ATM conveniently placed INSIDE the restaurant? Because I couldn’t recognise that ATM from anywhere, I personally didn’t trust using it.

I miss the...

I cannot count how many times did I eat at this restaurant! It is definitely a hidden gem in Prague that is worth the trip a little further away from the city centre. Not only can you visit Grébovka on your way there you can also enjoy the best veggie brunch in Prague! For a while I used to come so often that the servers new me, not because I'm special but because I'm addicted to their vegan pancakes! First, they are large but I'm a foodie so instead of the "normal" 2-stack I always go for a double portion of 4 large pancakes doused in maple syrup and vegan butter. Honestly I can run miles after a brunch as filling as this!

On top of that I have been always satisfied with service, very friendly, accommodating and dog friendly if you have a furry friend.

I really hope that the pancake toppings selection will grow with time as I think it is a strong point of the restaurant, what about some chocolate?

Overall, highly recommend for anyone who loves cosy restaurants...

Good ambience, average food, poor service We ordered the meal of the day - broccoli soup (tasted amazing) and burrito (very bland and dry) along with thai noodles in peanut sauce (no salt and acidity). We wanted rhe Mac and cheese but that wasn't available. Service was poor - waitress didn't know what the meal of the day was and asked us to go look at the door where the menu was stuck. She wasn't able to tell us about the ingredients. My husband asked for a dip with the burrito as the burrito was dry - they gave a dip with out letting us know that we will be charged for it. Further, their policy says that if one does not like their food, they don't have to pay for it but despite us letting the waitress know that we didn't like the food, she didn't mention anything about it. The waitress also told us that we had to pay 600 krona and when my husband checked, she included the mac and cheese which we didn't get to eat. She corrected it immediately. Ambience was great though.

Had to go out and get some fresh air and was walking around looking for a place to get some take away to eat in the park. Decided to give this place a try. Had the vegan Panang curry and carrot soup. Soup was good, could have been a bit more spicy but that's personal I guess. Good portion, thick soup and certainly they did not save on the amount. The Panang curry was simply delicious, had a good bite, fresh ingredients and one of the best one I ever ate. It was not cheap but 100% worth the value for money. The message on top of the cups made my day as it's good to see some people "get it" and understand that these personal touches can make customers return. Of course it all has to fit (quality food/service/price) so for me big thumbs up for the ladies at Satsang ;-). I'll be back ....
