The wooden pavilion in the upper part of the park was built in the 1970s according to a design by Josef Schulz. It originally served as a garden game room with a shooting range, bowling alley and chess tables. The east wing was used to practice archery and was demolished in the middle of the 20th century. The west wing called the bowling alley has been preserved to this day. In the second half of the 20th century, the building underwent several reconstructions. In 1989, the Pavilion in the state of disrepair was taken over by the city district of Prague 2. During the survey, however, rare frescoes were found and the estimated costs of repair increased several times. The reconstruction took place according to the project of architect Jiří Javůrek. The grand opening of the Pavilion, which now serves as a café, and a replica of the original historic bowling alley took place in September 2009 during the vintage.
Read moreSuper rude and arrogant management!! Avoid this place for parties! We reserved a children's birthday party for 30 people in the garden. As our guests arrived, we were rudely told to remove the balloons we had decorated the area with. The manager was yelling at me as I tried to understand what could be the problem. Given their aggressive approach and the fact that we have confirmed several times that we would have decorations as part of our party, we found this very upsetting.
The location is lovely, so my guests enjoyed it, all 30 people had food and many many drinks. However the tables were not cleaned at all for almost 4 hours! We had a bday cake, but couldn't order coffee as there was no waiter for almost an hour. Finally we paid a big bill, the waiter apologized for the service. Mainly disappointed about the management style...
Read moreEven by Czech standards this place is horrible!! The service was down right agressive over things like asking for the bill!! The worst and most hostile service I have had anywhere in the Czech Republic and that is saying something!!! They did not have any Czech wine and what they did have tasted like sour vinegar, like the bottle had been open for weeks!! When it came to pay our bill it was TWICE what we had been expecting, apparently we ordered the large but considering there was no larger option anywhere on the menus and we very clearly pointed to what we wanted there is no way that is true and it is safe to say we we're forced to pay double by our hostile and down right mean server. Worst experience in the Czech Republic, and it doesn't get...
