The PUB Praha 2 — Restaurant in Prague

I went to this bar yesterday for the second time. We were two people, ordered beer, and it had a strange taste. We called the waitress to inform her, and the manager came with a rather negative attitude. We told him the beer tasted strange, and he responded by saying that the day before, a group had sat in the same spot with no issues. I wonder what that has to do with the unpleasant beer we had. We know it comes from the same keg, but perhaps the tap was dirty. In the end, they served us beer from the other tap, and everything was fine. As time passed, we could smell an odor coming from the machine in the middle of the table. Honestly, we didn't understand the manager's attitude, arguing over something not worth it for two beers that don't cost more than 150 crowns. Very poor service and willingness on his part, even though it doesn't come out...

Initially quite entertaining with the table top beer dispensers that meter out your beer like a petrol pump. They also have a beer condition leader board so you can see how much other tables are drinking. Nothing like a little competition to drive sales. Menu looked encouraging but food was disappointing to say the least.

Girlfriend ordered the quarter duck which looked like it was cooked the day before and had three mouthfuls of dry duck meat and a pile of bones. I ordered the traditional Czech roast sirloin... This came smothered in a sickly sweet sauce, cranberry jam, and sweet whipped cream from a squirt can. Generally left me wondering what on earth I was eating.

The one positive item on both plates was the dumplings which were quite excellent. Unfortunately this is not enough to tempt me back for...

Warning: This restaurant tolerates racism and lets clearly drunk bartenders stay behind the bar, even when they behave inappropriately and unprofessionally. It is unacceptable to allow drunk bartenders behind the bar – especially when they behave inappropriately and make racist remarks, even towards paying customers. I seriously considered calling the police. Management does nothing. Many others have reported similar experiences – this rude and racist bartender has apparently been working here for years. On top of that, the place is overpriced for the poor quality of service, food, and drinks. If you're a foreigner, avoid this place – you are not treated with basic...
