Incredibly disappointing. Do NOT go as a tourist.
The menu and waiter were both very dishonest. Me and my partner went here for dinner and when we ordered the waiter asked which option we wanted with our meal, with no mention this would be an additional cost.
Waitor was very rude, clearly judging that I wasn't having beer as he kept asking me if I wanted to try it this time. And when I ordered the wine instead - charging double. The beer was poured so badly, and the size of glass entierly ignored by the waiter.
When faced with this final bill we made it clear we were not aware of these extra charges, and how he had presented the menu. And was told we had to pay it as the kitchen would be annoyed at him - clearly understanding that it was a dishonest system
The atmosphere was also not good, with some of the regulars unable to keep their eyes off me - making me very uncomfortable and not being very...
Read moreGoulash was good. Service was great. Food is pricy compared to other places nearby, which is fine, BUT it was NOT mentioned that we would be charged for the houskovy knedlik (135czk for two people) that was included in the goulash, which was very unexpected and dishonest. Despite what the owner says, it is NOT MENTIONED on the menu — they lie to take your money.
The price was fine as it was, but be upfront with customers instead of adding on hidden charges. If the goulash actually costs 350 czk, label it as such, instead of saying it’s 289 on the menu. If your restaurant is in that dire need of the money from the knedlik, include it in the total price.
While the food is quite good, I don’t recommend coming here if they’re gonna be DISHONEST and squeeze money out of you. If you can’t run a restaurant without stealing from your customers,...
Read moreSuper cozy and authentic little restaurant/pub with THE BEST ribs in town made directly by the owner — a lovely fella who makes this place shine. :)
Delicious traditional czech cuisine, small beer snacks, lovely steaks and wide range of vegetarian salad options.
Don’t expect the widest selection of cocktails — mind you, it’s a typical czech restaurant. Have a delicious, well-treated half-liter of Pilsner Urquell (or Kozel, light and dark) instead.
The restaurant stays open till 1/2AM and they will happily prepare your food even after midnight, which makes it the perfect place for a late dinner. Remember — you can get a Big Mac anywhere in the world. But you don’t get to taste such an excellent goulash or ribs everyday and...
