One of the better veggie places. At first, they forgot about us, when the waiter finally came he magically made that first incident all disappear! Good job cuz I’m a tough one, but I do appreciate good service, and these guys are talented professionals and their aim is to make you laugh and take your money. The way they make you take the tasting Menu is really good, and it was really good, they made it vegan for us and I will review it as a vegan dish even though I believe that some of the original dishes weren’t supposed to be vegan. Starters, a bit oriental vibe very good mid dishes beets fennel and figs, (picture) really good as well, our favourite was the fennel and apricot. Main dish with carrots was ok, and the dessert was a bit too much berries I think vanilla ice cream with all the berries would have been better but still good! Things that annoyed me, do you want sparkling water, sure, and then you find it on the tab, the still water is complementary though it would just have been nicer if I (we) in the end didn’t feel that they were so desperate about taking our money, also how the check is preset for 10% and they stress you a bit by pressing and continuing. I am amazed by the staffs’ talent, and how the manegement teach them the skills! Good job, but I don’t like it. In spite of all this, it was a really good food experience! Recommended! 7,6/10 staff (sara Jos and...
Read moreThe food was quite good! I think the vegetables here are good if local.
The staff was quite nice as well!
There were only two things that I do not know as I just arrived in country, so I will still give full positive rating.
The leeks were not cleaned well. I took a picture and that was after I had cleaned it a bit. I don't know if Danish people don't clean vegetables as much and prefer to have some dirt on them? It was not a big deal as I just discretely cleaned.
I have a card without overseas fees. The restaurant decided to add a surcharge of ~10 dkk. It stated it on the machine. I have not had this elsewhere. I asked is there any fee for visa or American express. They said no for visa yet it added 10 dkk. Staff was busy and I had a good experience (as reflected in the rating) so I didn't want to make a big deal about it. But if I had known that the restaurant adds charges for credit card (not the card provider) I would have paid in dkk.
The potato dish was really good! I think you should try. I had that which is listed at 215 dkk. Tap water 30 dkk. Credit card fee from restaurant for 10 dkk.
All in this dish was 255 dkk, but was quite tasty.
I would come back but I would bring dkk instead of paying with credit card. Staff were...
Read moreI have been meaning to hit this spot for a while, but last time I was in Copenhagen I couldn't get a table. So after 10 months of eating my way around Asia I returned to KBH and went with some friends.
First of all, it's really refreshing to enter a restaurant where you actually feel welcome and not that the staff are too-cool-for-school. The service was truly relaxed, informative and friendly. They even really took care of our friends baby the whole time with juice and bread for him. A really nice touch.
The food was great. We ordered 3 starters to share, 4 mains and 3 desserts so I feel we got a good overview of their style.
Apart from a couple of personal preferences, everything was cooked/prepared really well and tasted great.
Personal favourites were the new potato starter, tarte, the asparagus and the sundae. In my opinion the pavlova needed some work as it was overly sweet, so a bitter-sour component that was more prominent would have hit different. Just my taste.
Overall a great experience and again, really refreshing to see such passionate and friendly people running a restaurant in an area of town that can be extremely snobby and...
