Nice atmosphere with friendly and service minded staff. Good options with non-alcoholic drinks. Ate the vegetarian set menu, with five dishes. The meal started off with two salads; a cucumber salad with (what I think was) mayo & soy sauce & a zucchini salad with pickled onions & A LOT of cheese. The cucumber salad was a great start, and the zucchini salad was an interesting combination of flavors. Next up was the fermented seaweed salad, with pickled radish & pearl peppers. Did not see it on the menu, and was quite surprised by the very sour, vinegary taste. Not really my cup of tea. The tofu dumplings came with a broth-like soy-vinegar base, and was topped with shiitake mushrooms. Well combined, but it clashed a bit with the lingering aftertaste of the previous (very) sour seaweed salad. Lastly, the tofu bun. Great crispy tofu, paired with a curry sauce and pickled vegetables. Reminded me a bit of a tofu katsu curry. Added a dessert to round up the meal. A milkbun topped with coffee cream, black sesame sauce and candied orange. It was alright. Overall it was a nice experience. Would however enjoyed having another flavor other than vinegar/pickled, since every dish came with something sour.

I've visited Sidecar on two separate occasions, once for evening cocktails and another time for their wildly popular weekend brunch. The brunch offers a selection of sausages, bacon, eggs and waffles (there are also gluten free, vegetarian and lactose free options, I believe) that can be refilled on request, as many times as needed. This works well but is a bit of a slow process as the wait staff is quite busy, so be prepared to be patient. In the mean time a wonderful buffet with snack size dishes is the star of the show. It has tons of healthy options and everything we tried was a delight. Be aware that you need to book a table well in advance and that some of the seats are a bit awkward to sit in for longer periods of time. I will definitely return and can highly recommend but be patient, both with booking and with the warm dishes. For cocktails we spontaneously went in a late Thursday night and was met with a friendly and relaxed attitude. We got excellent guidance on what to choose and drinks were out fast. It's a bit strange to pay for water when ordering only cocktails, as that usually is complementary. Both cocktails were delicious and inventive, so nothing but praise from me.

One of the best brunches in Copenhagen! It has everything you’d expect from a great brunch… and so much more. It’s a perfect blend of the classic brunch buffet and the more modern “customize your own brunch” concept. You can choose five items from the menu and take the rest from the buffet. I’m usually not a big fan of buffets, but this is a great way to do it—especially because the buffet is designed so you can take small portions of what you want, rather than the typical buffet style where everyone serves themselves from the same large plates. You can order classic brunch items like eggs, bacon, beans, tomatoes, yogurt with granola, waffles, and cheese. But there are also less traditional options, like rice pudding, various salads, and a wide selection of Middle Eastern inspired dishes. Side car is also super cozy and very popular so make sure to book a table in advance. The only thing that would make this brunch even better is more fresh fruit!

I will be honest, I am so disappointed with the visit. I had high expectations but they were pushed down to the bottom, and all because of the service and staffing. From the moment we entered we got a bad reception. We were seated at a shared table even though I had booked a table about two months ahead. There were several tables available but they were unwilling to move us. After asking a couple of different staffers we finally got a private table. But after that it felt like we were ignored. Nobody asking about if we needed something more, like coffee etc. I went up and ordered coffee but it never arrived. It felt like we weren’t welcomed.

So we finished up, payed our bill and left, with a huge disappointing feeling.

So why do I still give them two stars? Because the food is actually quite good. The place is pricey but if the service would be better it could motivate the price. But for now I could not recommend this place. I hope they will make an effort about the service. Anyway, I will not check if they...
